Stop hanging out on Van Buren.

I have driven into PHX a few times and seen tons of cops with people pulled over on the 10 by the 202(?) loop.

I thought it was common practice. AZ highway patrol always works in packs.

ExLust 01-16-2009 03:29 AM

Was it that normal in highway?

crockett 01-16-2009 03:40 AM

They are probably on the look out for 200 MPH Lamborghinis

tranza 01-16-2009 06:34 AM

They probably there's nothing better to do... ahahaha

Thanks to real estate hitting the shitters, the state if facing a 1.2B budget short fall and the cities and counties are not in a good shape either so the money has to come from some where to keep the cops employed.

Yeah i went to Walgreens last night around 1030 and saw alot of flashers... Phoenix usually arent that bad if your west of Central, the ones to watch out for are Scottsdale, those fuckers will create reasons to pull you over, Chandler arent too bad but Gilbert are cause they lost a bike cop to a drunk kid...

:2 cents::2 cents:

I noticed the cops too and all the fucking speed camera's and van's every two miles.

after they put the cameras on the 101 a few years back, i remember not seeing any cops pulling people over during that whole time.

something must have changed recently, they are out in force

That's because instead of saving like they should have, they spent all of the money they took in from the housing boom. Everyone did this....

Dont know much about how much the police Dept makes from those tickets do you.

I would have to say that they are trying to lowe the number of fatal accidents, as well as they may be working towards some sort of government grant for road work or something.

Strange, I haven't seen any abnormality of cops lately....who knows :winkwink:

When I was heading down the 101 from Old Town Scottsdale I saw 4 people pulled over. One cop reached for his gun but sadly I was driving too fast to catch the rest of the show.

I was in Tempe last night and it was insane around closing time, the 24 hour food hot spots were swarming with cops, literally counted 20 cop cars in a 1 mile span.

Anyone heard that AZ might be giving I.O.U.'s on the tax refunds?
I wouldn't be surprised to see if those damn cameras take snap shots of you for going 1 mph over or if we start seeing even more ridiculous DUI fines to help with the budget deficit.
