Fact: if you or I were drunk driving and beat our girlfriend in public

we wouldnt be still out on the lose thats for sure.

Chris Brown was drinking and driving, drinking underage (he is not 21) and beat his girlfriend until her face was swollen.

If you or I did this, we would not be on talk shows and getting slap o the wrist thats for sure.

http://www.showbizspy.com/article/18...inking-heavily

Quote:

Chris Brown had been "drinking heavily" before allegedly assaulting girlfriend Rihanna, it has been claimed.
So he was drunk...

Quote:

"They started to argue. She got out of the car. He wanted her to get back in, so he grabbed her. She pulled away. That?s when she?s told people he hit her."
and he was driving.

Scott McD 02-27-2009 07:58 AM

Yes that is fact. But that's the way it always seems to go with celebs.

Sucks, but it's nothing new. He's a fucking loser...

UFGators2007 02-27-2009 08:03 AM

Yeah, that doesn't exactly shock me. Look at Michael Phelps, he was caught and admitted he was smoking pot, but they didn't do anything for "lack of evidence." I am not saying the Phelps should be arrested...I have no problem with what he did....but we have a large amount of "ehh, who cares if it was illegal" for celebrities. Chris Brown should be beaten just like he did to Rihanna, but most likely in several months from now, him and her will be more popular than ever. I say, FUCK CELEBRITIES!:mad:

no, the irony is, 8 people were arrested over the photo of Phelps smoking a bongload. Which proves, while real violent crime is occuring (Brown vs Rihanna) cops are arresting people because of a picture, yet violent crime is going on and the culprits are celebs.

However, Chris Brown has been given no reprimand, and is now working the "feel sorry for me, im just a man and im going into treatment over anger"

LOL

its also coming out she may be pregnant, only im America... take a picture of someone smoking weed = go to jail

beat a prgnant woman silly in public while drunk and drinking and driving and .... survay says... nothing will happen to you.

Nicky 02-27-2009 08:20 AM

Only in America ladies and gentlemen :)

pornguy 02-27-2009 08:24 AM

Look at the guy that got Brittney Spears little sister pregnant. She was what 17?? Did they nail him for doing a minor and make him a sexual offender?? Nope. Big Sis has 100 million dollars in the bank and the press is better than an arrest. It would have been negative press.

Fletch XXX 02-27-2009 08:24 AM

Can you imagine how HUGE this story would be if Mel Gibson had beat his wife while drunk in public?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mel_Gibson_DUI_incident

Compare how the two people have been vilified in public and youll see, Mel Gibson was given way more bad publicity over his DUI than Chris brown is getting over beating a woman in public.

Its amazing when you compare how the two cases were handled to the public. There are news articles right now asking for chris brown to "be given a break"

If Mel Gibson had done the exact same thing, youd see a man in jail

StuartD 02-27-2009 08:25 AM

celebrities + crimes = rehab

priests + boy rape = relocation

webmasters + drugs = bro

it's a wacky world.

Joe BrainCash 02-27-2009 08:30 AM

Remember Nick Hogan? Double standarts.

He was arrested but he posted bail, im sure the 8 arrested for the weed also had that same opportunity.

brassmonkey 02-27-2009 08:38 AM

Phoenix 02-27-2009 08:42 AM

doesnt she have a brother or a cousin?

id wait exactly 3 months to the date then break his arm with a baseball bat...and leave...without ever saying one word to him

Tom_PM 02-27-2009 09:17 AM

Pro athletes could be found sleeping on a giant pile of cocaine and not get arrested. Or arrested but given house arrest. You or I would die in prison. Or they can shoot themselves in the asshole, breaking a dozen laws in the process (they'd tote them ALL up if it were you or me) and basically just be publically embarassed.

Phelps wasn't arrested, 8 OTHER people were and they were not pictured, didnt admit to doing anything. There was not only no outrage over that, but hardly even a mention in media.

Michael Vick is about to be released and they're already shopping around for a team that'll take him. Will the NFL lift it's current "indefinite suspension"? If it does, it'll be quiet, and you wont hear about it until it's too late.

Let me put it this way. Pro teams dont give one single shit if an athlete is a "good person". Not even one little tiny shit. They dont go out to hire "role models" they go out to hire contract killers on the field, and that is THAT. If someone HAPPENS to emerge as a role model, it's pure coincidence, and they've simply been very good at hiding their cheating up to that point.

Money is ALL that matters in this world.

ShellyCrash 02-27-2009 09:20 AM

You mean I can't drive around drunk and beat my girlfriend? What the hell is this, Russia!?

Ridiculous. I'd be happy if he gets convicted of assault and driving while intoxicated and does some jail time + a huge fine.

Sadly, I don't see it happening.

In what state is "doing a minor" a crime? Where is the age of consent LESS than 17?

<SARCASM>

I am absolutly shocked and outraged that a member of the entertainment community could so blatantly break the law yet not be held to the same standards as us lower beings. It must have something to do with money.

</SARCASM>

Chris Brown will be another O.J., a few years from now he'll finaly get jail time for the shit he does.

SarahLLO 02-27-2009 12:52 PM

Sean Penn beat the fuck out of Madonna and he won an Oscar and people love him.

The public's memory for things like this is depressingly short, and fans ability to rationalize away behavior like this solely because they like the celebrity also grosses me out. I've already seen comments on gossip sites talking about how "Chris Brown is really a good guy at heart" or "Rihanna must've thrown the first punch, she deserved it"...

No, when a guy who was raised seeing his mother get beat decides to continue the cycle of abuse by getting drunk, driving, and beating his girlfriend to a pulp even though he knows it will rain down havoc on his career... that person is NOT a good man. He's a violent asshole without any self control.

But in 10 years he'll probably be winning a Grammy or something, because the public just doesn't give a shit about this sort of thing once the next big drama comes along.

2012 02-27-2009 12:56 PM

what do you mean ? that's a weekend for me

cherrylula 02-27-2009 02:02 PM

I had not even heard of these people until this incident. I figure the guy is in sports?

they are both famous? after this they are anyhow. :1orglaugh

Titty Fucker 02-27-2009 08:44 PM

FYI... Micheal Phelps never admitted to smoking Marijuana.

He admits to engaging in 'regrettable' behavior and showing 'bad judgment'.

You can't prosecute for that.

Spunky 02-27-2009 08:48 PM

Celebs seem to be beyond the law, bloody bullshit

CDSmith 02-27-2009 11:11 PM

Purely a side note, but with regards to the twit who took Phelps's picture of him smoking a bong and then sold it to the media and ratted him out, whomever it was deserves to be pillaried and publicly bitchslapped at the top and bottom of every hour for 3 days.

/side note.

there is big misconception of the age of consent laws...

just cause age of consent in nevada is 16 does not mean a 30 year old can bang a 16 year old legally....

it just means that someone under 18 can bang her.... if your over 18 it's a charge for you...

big misconception if the DA wants to pursue it... normally they don't which surprises me

I personally think any guy over 18 banging a girl under 18 should be punished

even if he 18 and she 17

Mr Pheer 02-27-2009 11:16 PM

guess the race

dave90210 02-27-2009 11:23 PM

I don't get it he's beats his girlfriend nearly to death, he's an asshole loser and he can get hot chicks. I'm nice and friendly to girls and I have never had a girlfriend in my life! I don't feel sorry for her she deserves to be beaten. Any dumb bitch who goes out and stays with someone like that deserves anything the comes her way.

collegeboobies 02-27-2009 11:36 PM

Campaign to jail Chris Brown

Yes, what you believe _is_ a common misconception.

Quote:

http://www.sexlaws.org/answer_board_...sent_in_nevada
The age a person can legally consent to sexual activity in the state of Nevada is 16; however, if the adult involved in the sexual act is 21 years of age or older and is a teacher, instructor, professor, administrator, head coach, assistant coach or in certain positions of authority over the minor at an educational institution, it is a crime to have sexual relations with a student under the age of 18. (Unless they are married)

A 16 year old is a "minor" under the laws of the state of Nevada and is under the legal authority of their parent or guardian. There can be other legal risk to adults over the age of 18 who are involved with a minor sexually if the parents pursue legal actions to terminate the relationship.
Now you know. :thumbsup

If I remember correctly, nobody cared about Gibson's DUI. They cared about the comments he made about Jews while being arrested on DUI - what some interpreted as confirmation of Gibson's anti-semitic beliefs.

But there is no question there is different justice for celebs.

You've never heard of Rihanna???

Fletch XXX 02-28-2009 06:51 AM

Rihanna has now gone back to him and there will be no charges filed

http://news-briefs.ew.com/2009/02/ri...th+Chris+Brown

Quote:

People.com reports that Rihanna has reunited with her boyfriend, R&B singer Chris Brown, some three weeks after he was arrested for allegedly assaulting her. E! News reports that the two are together at Sean "Diddy" Combs' Star Island mansion in Miami Beach. Brown was booked by the Los Angeles Police Department for making criminal threats but his case has not yet been presented to the District Attorney, who will ultimately decide what charges, if any, will be filed.
once a woman goes back with her abusive man charges are usually never pursued.
