fucking love the way people do this with my pics :BangBang:

MikeSmoke 03-06-2009 03:14 AM

So basically this doesn't host FHG's created by the sponsors - it scrapes the pics from anywhere you want to get them - with or without permission?

DarkJedi 03-06-2009 03:20 AM

i'm not digging it

You supply the system with FHG's and it builds galleries using ads you setup. You host the content, control your sponsors, this is in no way different than building thousands of your own custom galleries using sponsor content. But offers far more control over the look/feel, and gains massive SE appeal.

One would hope you would have permission before using said content. Just as with any other CMS.

stonehammer 03-06-2009 04:15 AM

is it easy to convert smart thumbs to liquid media ?

Zeroquest 03-06-2009 04:19 AM

I haven't had a request for this directly yet, but it should be possible. I would need to look at where you are, what you want to accomplish, etc. If you're serious, we should talk. Liquid Media can handle video and galleries with equal aplomb.

E-Mail: [email protected]

Zeroquest 03-06-2009 04:22 AM

I'm heading to bed here, but for those interested, feel free to contact me via email and I'll get back to you when I get up.

Again, thanks for the overwhelming response to 1.0's release. I've got a huge to-do list for 1.2 and a work ethic that is definitely going to get me divorced. ;)

One would definitely hope so...but as someone who spends a pathetic amount of time (and probably a lot less time than a lot of people here) trying to track down my stolen content and have it removed...it seems that scripts like this make it easier than ever for content thieves to just set up a script and have it steal all of a producer's content while they sleep :(

Liquid Media facilitates media additions in various ways. Scraping is only one method of getting content into the system. You can also add content manually, via zip, ftp, etc.

Liquid Media is an extensive CMS system that was not created to harvest stolen content. It's not a 'fusker-style' script which is the impression I'm getting from your reply. Scraping in LM was added as a means to pull content in just as it can extract zip files and build from them, or you can upload images individually or ftp them in. It's simply a means to an end and was created to speed up gallery creation.

With that said, I understand your position, but LM does not crawl URLs as such. It scrapes from the supplied URLs. Someone would have to compile a list of URLs for it to import. A hammer doesn't build a home on it's own, no matter how much we'd like it to. It's simply a tool to complete the job. One of many, and that's exactly what the scraping tool in LM does. It's so far removed from what LM is...

Liquid Media is an extremely powerful full featured CMS with threaded discussions, possibly the most powerful advertising engine ever built, event-driven content delivery, full blogging tools (with post-dating, drafts, auto-gallery blogging, and more).

I assure you, that is no where near the goal for this system.

JimmiDean 03-06-2009 05:02 AM

Looks good will hit you up today.

took a look at the script last night, looks very cool.

Brujah 03-06-2009 09:37 PM

Doesn't look too bad, is anyone using it in their members area? Seems like it could be useful there.

There sure are. We've sold quite a few copies to people using it as a paysite CMS. Although this isn't it's intended purpose, it definitely fits the bill for many people.

In version upgrades are free, 2.0 will be offered at a discounted rate to owners. With that said, we have a TON of features to get into 1.x. :thumbsup

Brujah 03-06-2009 10:37 PM

Is it encoded or is source available? API or plugins?

Zeroquest 03-06-2009 10:52 PM

It is most definitely encoded. However, I am hard at work building out an API and fully expect to have one widely available in the next few months.

The skin system is solid and extremely customizable. Granted most sites shown above follow the same layout scheme (for the most part). This is most definitely not set in stone. The template system can be laid out anyway you'd like with all major pieces using #%TAGS%# with accompanying html template files. PHP is fully parsed from all templates and in-system variables are prefixed (lm_) to prevent collisions. A full list of system variables will be listed in the owners forum soon to allow for pre-API plugins.

Thanks bods, expect me to contact you sometime this week to get you upgraded.

Zeroquest 03-08-2009 01:07 AM

Since I've been asked a few times since launching 1.1...

Here are 10 of Liquid Media's more popular features:

1. Supports importing (scraping) from ANY url - This includes a page of images, galleries with links to images, or an image url.

2. Processing of zip files, individual files, or files uploaded via FTP.

3. Editing your content ON-SITE. This means you can browse a gallery and interactively modify the gallery your surfers see. (The admin tools appear under the thumbnails) Cropping, rotation, locking (use thumb to represent gallery), and deletion buttons are under every thumb.

4. Full bulk importing with ability to assign sponsors during import (or after should you prefer). Import layout can be customized during import with override options and ad creation.

5. Advertising is totally unique in Liquid Media. Not only can you create sponsor ads (in unlimited locations), but you can also setup Liquid ads. These are ads that flow into locations under which they are applied. (Applying them to a group of galleries affects all galleries under this group) Adding new ad tags is as simple as editing a template - Liquid Media will pick up the addition immediately and the space will show in the ad manager.

6. Stats logging for everything! All images, galleries and groups of galleries are tracked in real-time. You can compare clicks relative to other images, galleries or groups of galleries or click the graph under the thumbs for a detailed hourly view of uniques and raws.

7. Full tag support and editing. Tags can be supplied during import or added later while browsing the gallery. Daily, weekly, monthly and all time tag cloud is an option.

8. Full blogging tools including drafts, post-dating, editing, commenting, etc. Blogging of galleries is as simple as browsing to a gallery and clicking "Blog this gallery". An entry is created populated with the galleries description and a thumb pointing to the gallery. It couldn't be simpler!

9. Automated content additions - both image galleries and videos can be added every 'x' number of minutes from the queue. (galleries and videos can be set separately) Import processing times can also be set. Alerts are given when your content runs low with an estimated time before you need to refill it.

10. Your users get their own avatar, settings, subscriptions, favorites and more. Their activity is fully tracked and we will be adding a TON of features to use this information to your advantage! ;) (Including mailers, content queuing based on surfers favorites, and much more)

st0ned 03-11-2009 09:18 PM

Bump for Eric. :thumbsup

Hi and congrats. Hit me up about some biz for you :)

Methodcash Rick 02-11-2010 06:38 PM

Ok, I'll give it a shot here, since he's ignored / blown off my partner completely ( and not in the way he'd like ).

Yo fuck face!!!

Where the fuck are the updates & upgrades that we've PAID for?

You disappearing for nearly 2 months, your fucking boo hoo stories of a bi-polar brother problem, your empty fucking promises ( oh I'll be on Monday, or Oh I'll be on tonight, it's a CODING MARATHON ) have grown old.

You've already fucked us by releasing upgrades we paid for exclusivity on, and completely ignored any attempt to get in touch with you.

No more excuses, just fucking do what you were paid to do, get in touch with Scuzz within 24 hours, and get this shit finished!

GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS, DELIVER WHAT WE'VE PAID FOR, OR I WILL TAKE THIS TO THE NEXT LEVEL.

Okay, I wanted to keep out of this but Its getting annoying because GFY is several years behind on this drama. I'm really sick of seeing people get ripped off and then not be able to get the support they deserve.

This vanishing act is nothing new, in fact its a predictable behaviour.

The product looks sweet, and I'm sure it shows great promise, but if you knew the history of this developer, you would know that you never should have bought this product.

The same scenario happened several years ago with his previous product called Raptor, a traffic script primarily used in the Non Nude niche. Everyone bought it, he made buckets of money.. but then, things started to break. Support was awful, and hundreds of clients are still waiting for fixes and upgrades that were promised 2+ years ago.

TM's products are all really nice and he's a talented developer, but his complete lack of client support and compulsive promises and disappearing act is something that should be expected.

Read the thread from his promotional partner. Talk to ANYONE who owns a copy of Raptor. They'll tell you the same story.

I'm sorry, but you're all fucked.
