Non-alkaline batteries for sex-toys?
Any idea why non-alkaline batteries are recommended for sex-toys and if it is alright to use the alkaline ones?

Non-Alkaline batteries are ususally cheap and nasty and it wouldnt be fun having them leak with acids but premium alkaline ones are it seems made with better quality control in mind. Of course it is always recommended you follow the products instructions but l think you should be ok . |
Alkaline batteries have a lower internal resistance which allows them to deliver more instantaneous power. It's probably for safety reasons, so the motor doesn't overspeed and/or run hot.

For sex toys I only use rechargeable batteries! And I bought one of those fast recharges that finishes recharging in only 15 minutes, the quicker the better

I use the rechargeable NiMh batteries from my Canon ultrazoom camera in my girl's vibrator. They work fine.
If you're going to buy new batteries, I'd recommend the Eneloop low discharge ones. They hold their charge much longer than my standard NiMh batts. The Maha brand of chargers are really good too. I like buying them from http://www.thomas-distributing.com/index.htm |
Thanks for the infos everyone!
