I just logged into the backend of an old blog.. only to find 30,000 comments waiting.
How the heck do i delete them.. Any Ideas??? :helpme

Honestly I don't know but someone asked a similar question a couple of months ago so here's a bump for some answers.

i would just export the comments table (wp-comments), copy/paste it into wordpad, mass delete the ones you don't want and import back in to your wp database.

Select from db approved = 0

delete from db approved = 0

Google is your friend you know, 4 words typed into search returned the answer.

You should block does comments at first place!
When you build your blog at the beginning!
