Definition of high speed internet??

What would you think is the slowest speed acceptable that can be classified as high speed from an ISP?

Yngwie 04-29-2009 12:46 PM

2mbps should be the minimum. Of course, I won't be downgrading to that mind you. haha

"double the speed of dial up".... although they usually tack on "lite" to the end.

I would say that any speed higher than ISDN would be considered as high speed :)

are we talking 56kbps for dial up and 128 kbps for ISDN?

AdultSoftwareSolutions 04-29-2009 01:30 PM

1 Mbps is the low end for broadband in the US I would say. Average is around 4 Mbps.

rip raster 04-29-2009 01:33 PM

I don't think this could be considered high speed then
