Definition of high speed internet??
What would you think is the slowest speed acceptable that can be classified as high speed from an ISP?

2mbps should be the minimum. Of course, I won't be downgrading to that mind you. haha

1mbps is the regular plan with my isp, then 10mbps, then 16mbps which i have

"double the speed of dial up".... although they usually tack on "lite" to the end.

I would say that any speed higher than ISDN would be considered as high speed :)

are we talking 56kbps for dial up and 128 kbps for ISDN?

1 Mbps is the low end for broadband in the US I would say. Average is around 4 Mbps.

with a ping of 791ms you are either being packeted or you are on 300 baud modem

Well right now am on 1.5 mbps! Also i have a wireless internet which is free in my city last few months! And its around 1-5 mbps!
But as i say it 5 mbps are min for nice casual work!!! |
i am on 3 mbps
