laws being stretched and freedoms disappearing as time goes by is why it is important for us all to support these guys: http://www.eff.org/

JimmiDean 05-12-2009 03:42 AM

Dont surf porn from work or on a work comp even from home period.
However this goes way to far.

ExLust 05-12-2009 04:13 AM

Maybe that's the guy responsible for all the illegal uploads to major tube sites...?

pornguy 05-12-2009 06:33 AM

He was stupid as hell for what he did.

I surf Porn from my work puter.. Think my boss will get upset?

Chit Chat 05-12-2009 07:13 AM

Poor Richard Wolf!!!

Useless Warrior 05-12-2009 07:35 AM

The guy was clearly a moron, but if you read the full article, you'll learn that he was in fact PROMOTED after they had begun investigating him. Sounds like an over-zealous prosecutor working on his/her political career. AFF brings down yet another lonely soul.

Still though, the guy was a tool for using his work computer, especially considering that he worked for a city, which probably has a zero-tolerance policy which forces them to report all infractions to the authorities.

Scott McD 05-12-2009 07:44 AM

Nobody to blame but himself really. Silly move...

From what I understood from the article there was a proper use policy that was never published or distributed. That still doesn't make what this guy did any more appropriate of course.

I think the theft of time is completely valid and more relevant to a hacking charge. Funny enough they dropped that charge and kept the hacking charge.

Wolf was also convicted of soliciting a dominatrix online for sexual services, a misdemeanor. Rasch says using the computer evidence for proof of this crime is appropriate, but charging him separately for felony hacking goes too far.
For me the above just about sums up the entire story.

So he broke company policy .. fire him.
There's some solicitation ... ok sure .. its a misdemeanor ... fine, community service ad/or suspended sentence.
But a FELONY ... really now .. is that necessary .. the poor guy's life is ruined ... for what???

_Richard_ 05-12-2009 10:59 AM

on a government computer no less... jesus

i couldnt agree more..
this country is increasingly becoming politically correct to a point where being a man and just looking at a female co-worker becomes criminal.. just insame.

i am guessing that 80% of all porn consumers does the deed while at work.
