I'm surprised there isn't more discussion about this.

How could that be millions of years old when the Earth is just slightly more than 600 years old? You godless freak.

What's funny (to me anyway) is that 'Ida' is my mother in law's name... so it all makes perfect sense

All "evidence" for evolution was planted by the Flying Spaghetti Monster, in an effort to test Pastafarians' faith.

When scientific measurements, such as radiocarbon dating, are made, the Flying Spaghetti Monster "is there changing the results with His Noodly Appendage."

It's cool but I think we need to stop calling these things missing links now that we have the resolution of human progression we have. It allows for the promotion of the idea that until we find the "missing" ones evolution isn't completely validified which isn't the case because all these links are doing is providing higher and higher resolutions of the fossil record.. Essentially each time a link is found you create two more "missing links" between the fossils on either side. It's like jumping towards a wall by covering exactly half the distance each time and never reaching the wall.. (except of course that the links are finite, but for practical purposes)

Yes, but that's where we stand in paleontology. Until they find hundreds of more skeletons it will be put forward this way.
