Sites that list COMPETITIONS?

I'm holding a short story competition on one of my sites, but other than the site itself, where else can I get the competition listed / promote it?

There must be sites out there specialising in listing all competitions going? It isn't a hardcore site, just adult in nature.

All :helpme appreciated.

you can post a press release - and submit it to radiodentata.com -
by an ad space during sascha illyvich's show (he is an author interviewing other authors) or try posting it to other story sites

I am thinking xbiz press release might be your best bet mate

Interesting idea Oceania. What are your listener / surfer figures like? I don't see much according to Alexa.

I agree with the press release suggestion.

Slightly offtopic. However, your title does raise the idea of a site that lists only competitions. That's an interesting idea for a site. A site that lists only competitions among differing niches. Talk about targeted markets!

Another suggestion is to post it on Craigslist.

Also, find Yahoogroups and other mailing groups that cater to you niche and announce it there

I'll give you that one free $5 for all your useful posts over the years :upsidedow

There are a few mainstream ones but they generally don't cater for adult topics. I've found some very specific ones via " **keyword** competition" searches etc, and finding other sites that have done similar, then looking at their competition page backlinks. Just thought there must be an easier way to announce these things.

Putting it out as a Press Release is definitely a good idea.

Hadn't thought about Yahoo Groups, thought they were so spammed to death now they'd be useless. Will take another look. :thumbsup
