Did not surprise me at all, here in NYC they will try and give you a ticket for anything. I got a ticket for no seat belt...but I had my seat belt on. To much trouble to fight it so I just paid the ticket. My word against his...the cop will win. They will also give you a ticket if your in the car and double parked.

They also have alternate side parking 4-5 times a week for street cleaning...every now and then they will change the times on the signs...and people don't realize it and every car on the block gets a ticket. They are very hungry for funds.

The richest man in NYC is Bloomberg...how the fuck can he relate to the normal New Yorker. I hope he loses the next election.

CyberHustler 06-06-2009 08:23 PM

Not the first time and wont be the last.

Vitasoy 06-06-2009 08:27 PM

No common sense for those ticket cops.. what else is new?

crockett 06-06-2009 08:56 PM

Ok that's bad and all but this is even worse..

"Jennifer Morales, who didn't want her face filmed by CBS 2 HD cameras, wondered how her father's body could go unnoticed for so long."

How the fuck do they feel it's appropriate to work in a promo line about their HD cameras in a story about a dead guy in his car? As a follow up to this breaking news story please see sig.

I saw that - thought it was somewhat shameless and tacky.

KastleArchives approves this guerilla promo trick. :thumbsup

I still remember where one news copter caught footage of another going down in flames (not literally) and the reporter stated "this is major breaking news!!!" Never mind the fellow colleagues dying below him...

Allformyspace 06-07-2009 03:52 AM

The dead body was on the back seat for weeks?? Fucking gross.

seeandsee 06-07-2009 04:17 AM

Yea they are like sharks in a feeding frenzy. It's like when they get on that camera all decency and compassion goes right out the window. Not to mention common sense.

Supz 06-07-2009 10:15 AM

The best part of this story is. The guys daughter is trying to sue everyone for not noticing him there. In the meantime. The guy lived with his daughter. He was missing for a while. And she never reported him missing.

Parking is a premium around there. I don't think being dead should give you a free pass.

'CBS2 HD' is the station's ID/name, not the 'promo line'
before going HD it would have been "... filmed by CBS 2 cameras..." or WCBS Cameras, same thing.

but newsroom people in general can be pretty jaded from looking at gory shit all day long so to you and me it may seem tacky but they are in the news life 24/7, it never goes off. It's a whole lifestyle. And also it's a state of mind and the need to develop a thick skin to not get overwhelmed by emotions they come in contact with on a daily basis.

The 'breaking news' thing is typical for anyone who works in the tv business, friend reporters do it to me over IM all the time, it's so weird... that and TYPE IN ALL CAPS IN NARROW COLUMNS JUST LIKE TELEPROMPTER SCRIPT:2 cents:

I got a parking ticket while banging a chick in the back of a van, so I can see how a dead guy might go unnoticed.

From the news report I heard she had reported him missing. He had a heart condition and diabetes which she also reported to the police when she called them.

I love the PLug about having HD.. Hahahahahah

Fucking tards.

ShellyCrash 06-08-2009 08:08 AM

If she reported him missing did they not run the tag? Usually that's the first thing cops do. If she didn't put in a missing person's report on him and that car than she is partially at fault as well.

From the news report I heard he was driving a friends van and not his own vehicle. It's entirely possible that even if the tag was reported they may have figured it was someone living in the van under the bridge and if they ticketed it enough maybe they would move on. I'm just guessing, who knows for sure

How dare you provide a very sensible and plausible explanation!

You may have just ruined everyone's assumptive and erroneous conclusions!
