Not sure, I was just doing support for a customer who wanted to cancel but couldn't. And then I found out why he couldn't...because Netbilling is down.

ExtremeBank_Adam 06-08-2009 11:04 PM

Switching cascade again... this is the third time in a week.

vending_machine 06-08-2009 11:09 PM

Looks like they've been down for about half an hour so far.

Right Hosting is completely unreachable, and that means Netbilling is too..

KillerK 06-08-2009 11:15 PM

My guess is they are replacing a power circuit but someone forgot to fucking warn people that they were doing it.

It's not that hot in LA is it?

imabro 06-08-2009 11:16 PM

GrouchyAdmin 06-09-2009 02:52 AM

I wonder how much longer it will be economically viable for Mitch to house his hardware at an incompetent company, even if he owns a good share of it.

tical 06-09-2009 02:54 AM

damn, wtf... my fucking servers reset

This is getting really, really old.

Anyone have any suggestions for gateways similar to NB? We have our own merchant accounts.

What's the integration like? I don't want to give my guys a nightmare of a project, but I do really need something stable.

Well, our script was built to be compatible with them, so was very easy. I guess your results may vary.

This is what I got from them, my servers were shut down by them and I wasn't even notified. Pretty shitty.

I used to use AuthorizeNet. They sent me a letter saying they didn't want to do adult transactions and I had to find another gateway provider. Did they change their mind? The good thing is that we're still able to process with JP Morgan Chase.

Nevermind, it looks like Authorize.Net didn't change their mind. Section 2 paragraph 2 of their TOS states, ?You agree that You will not at any time conduct Your business in any manner that directly or indirectly offers, sells, leases, licenses or displays, delivers, advertises, recommends, or promotes any product(s), service(s), data, information, image(s), text and/or any content which:

2. is associated with any form of adult, sexually oriented, or obscene materials or services, including without limitation, any material clearly designed to sexually arouse the viewer/reader (e.g., books, text, photos, videos, X-rated movies, pornographic materials, etc.), any materials which require individuals to be eighteen (18) or older to view or purchase those materials, escort services, and adult websites;? :(

baddog 06-09-2009 04:40 PM

Yeah, sorry. Wasn't thinking about that issue. Did not effect us, and we do have a NB account sitting around "just in case."

spunkmaster 06-09-2009 05:05 PM

We use www.fastcharge.com

Never down and no restrictions that I know of ?

Need something that integrates with NATS, though.

Hi,

We were not down but the DNS issue caused some not to be able to reach us. This is resolved and will not happen again. You know we have served you extremely well for about 8 years that you have been with us right?

Thanks, Mitch

Hi Mitch,

I don't think anyone here replied saying they could see you... myself included. No signups during that period either.

You have served us great... no issues ever, until this week. :winkwink:

I wasn't looking to move, just FYI. Just perhaps thinking of adding another gateway to add to the cascade.

The 'official word' is that they weren't down, only DNS was - but even on my servers with cached IPs, I got the good old gateway_timeout.

But, there is good news:

%host secure.netbilling.com
secure.netbilling.com has address 216.33.71.81
1:09 [asp]~%aswhois 216.33.71.81
Ezic, Inc. SAVV-S231708-2 (NET-216-33-71-64-1)
216.33.71.64 - 216.33.71.95

Savvis in the hizzy!

I've had exactly 6 hours of downtime with Savvis in 8 years, and that was due to a really, really, really nasty fibercut.

European Merchant Accounts

Just been following the thread and I'd like to say that eMerchantPay offer a secure merchant account service with a range of European banks through its own PCI compliant gateway and is fully NATS supported.

If I can be of any assistance please contact me at [email protected] or skype vince.charlton.

Regards

Vince
