For home use definitely Eset Smart Security Suite or just Nod32 on it's own :thumbsup

Ginn 06-22-2009 05:31 AM

pornguy 06-22-2009 05:35 AM

Vendzilla 06-22-2009 06:18 AM

Sosa 06-22-2009 06:29 AM

I prefer free avg still.

czarina 06-22-2009 09:00 AM

Im downloading the 30 day trial of Nod32 now, hoping it's lighter than TrendMicro

Matyko 06-22-2009 09:10 AM

nod32 is the best

born4porn 06-22-2009 09:15 AM

Nod32 the free version or Avast are the best I have used ... I am now using the paid version - Nod32 Business Edition and it totally rocks! :thumbsup

That's what I use too

Horny Dude 06-22-2009 10:39 AM

Kaspersky is the best one in the game.

Creeper 06-22-2009 10:41 AM

Symantec Antivirus (Corporate edition) no crazy GUI interface, not too much on the ram hogging.

But really.. I suggest.. a light AVG / stay on firefox .. stay away from nasty sites and run Malwarebytes + ComboFix on a weekly basis to find any pesky things, and finally Registry Mechanic. It should keep your computer in top shape.

Lycanthrope 06-22-2009 10:58 AM

I recommend Norton.

For removal.

Then, install Nod 32 or Avast.

chris_joseph 06-22-2009 11:06 AM

avg free, better comodo anti-virus with firewall (free)
or
if got some $$$ to spend, I suggest - Eset Smart Security. :thumbsup

skrog 06-22-2009 11:09 AM

ESET Smart Security :thumbsup

u-Bob 06-22-2009 11:09 AM

the best antivirus is a user who knows what he's doing.

Scott McD 06-22-2009 11:10 AM

Been using Kaspersky for 2 years now !!! :thumbsup

seeandsee 06-22-2009 11:15 AM

Avira, charming AV

tiger 06-22-2009 11:52 AM

I like avast a lot. Just can't figure out how to make it auto delete any emails with viruses instead of prompting me every time. Anybody know?

peedy 06-22-2009 02:57 PM

VIPRE

HomerSimpson 06-22-2009 06:46 PM

I've been using Avast for a long time and it catches pretty much everything. Nod32 is damn good to though.

Porko 06-22-2009 09:32 PM

Kaspersky

GrouchyAdmin 06-22-2009 09:54 PM

Anything that is not Norton. It'll work better, and fuck up your machine less.

born2blog 06-22-2009 09:56 PM

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned PREVX, I find that to be the best by far

sicone 06-22-2009 11:44 PM

Avira Antivir

http://www.avira.com/en/pages/index.php

They have a free personal edition too

voa 06-22-2009 11:45 PM

Avast for sure cause is the best one

bbm 06-23-2009 12:25 AM

NOD only :)

tiger 06-23-2009 12:54 AM

Anyone that uses avast know how to stop the delete prompts on viruses in emails? I want it to just auto delete.

Lionel 06-23-2009 01:37 AM

http://www.gdata-software.com/ 2 engine scan

qxm 06-23-2009 01:48 AM

Avira or Avast becuase they have sexy heuristics ... those using AVG better be careful .... I got one of my PCs completely infected not with viruses but with shitload of malware that btw .... avast and Avira do detect ....

U have been warned .......

Darkcrni 06-23-2009 01:50 AM

Best thing for u to do is to put NOD32 and Zone Alarm antivir!
No conflict there, and it wont slow down your comp!

Agreed, Kapersky would definitely help too.
