The opposite effect of the KAKA' trade.

This is shows how today's player can "move" money to e from the team.

Kaka' left us ( Ac Milan) and went to Madrid.

REAL MADRID side:

In less than a week more than 40L Kaka' # 8 Jerseys were sold.

AC MILAN side:

Season tickets pre-sale ( only for the past season ticket olders) is closing on July 8th, as today less than 800 ST were sold.

Last year in the same period almost 15K season tickets were sold during the pre-sale.

AC Milan fans are know to be loyal to the team, during the unfortunate year of the Serie B ( second diversion) San Siro was packed with 80k people each game, In the 90's we averaged 65K season pass tickets.

Rumors say that the management forecast this drop but not to this pint ( only 800 tickets sold) so they are definitely getting worry, so are the sponsors.

Fans for the most part are not upset about the KAKA' trade, money is money and AC Milan due to Berlusconi's position can't spend anymore money, the problem is the way this was handled.

They all sworn for months that Kaka' was never going to leave ACM ( him included), that he would have been the next captain and all those BS...Berlusconi declared that he was going to try to talk to kaka' ( just because there were the European elections)...

All these caused this drop in sales and a general feeling of being betrayed...

Definitely a new era for ACM is about to start.

Unfortunately I don?t agree with you about new era for Milan. Most of season tickets last year were sold when Ronaldinho was announced. I believe they sold about 5k in one single day. Last year none of the star players was sold and even with some questionable loans (Sheva, Senderos) and crazy purchases of Cardacio and Viudez (good players but took EU-places for nothing) everyone was expecting Milan to at least fight for a first place. This year Milan is continuing with selling star players and replacing them with crap. And that is what fans are protesting against by not buying season tickets.

I don?t expect any good signings this summer and I can?t lissen to Galliani anymore and his talk about all the ?champions? in Milan. I honestly belive we will resign Brocchi or Emerson and you will hear Galliani talking about ?triumphant return of a champion?. That would be in line with all the crap they have bought over the past years.
But I also undesratnd that none of the star players want to come to Italy with ancient arenas, violence, racism, low wages (relatively), low quality of the league and so on.

No new era for Milan? Just more of the same like 4 last years.

Only 800 season tickets sold ??? :helpme:helpme:helpme

We (celtic) thought we had problems here when our usual 52,000 which we sell with no problems every year, dropped by 15,000 this year. No doubt by the time the season starts though those will all be gone aswell. I hope...

Don't fans of the Italian clubs in the Champions League hardly ever go to the matches in the Group Stages also ?

I seem to remember something about that a while back, where they only start taking a real interest once the group stages are over with and they are in the next round...
