I just got banned last night for one as well... Guy asked "What are some Adult Dating sites besides Fling and AFF?" I posted our link and they called that "spamming" the boards.

They are all about protecting the webmaster lifestyle nestegg.

You have to wonder why I even bother in the first place, when 99% of new posts are self promotions on how we could make $100 posting youtube videos or write articles and submit them. LOL

All the MS boards I have visited are just full of get "rich" quick scams. Talking about how they can make $500 bucks doing this and that all you have to do is buy their shitty ebook.

I have a friend who makes a decent living from the digitalpoint forums selling crap ebooks. He uses a speech recognition program and just bullshits until he has enough content for a book. Then he goes in and cleans it up in a text editor, adds a few screenshots and pushes it out for $20-$50 and watches the money roll in after posting it on DP. It's fucking amazing what some 22 pt red text, fake testimonials and a long copy pitch page can do.

I doubt that, when i used to visit DP almost everybody selling ebooks was covered in red feedback points, because if you just sell some shit in an ebook those who bought it are going to make sure everybody knows.

it all depends on the board. Industry specific boards are an awesome place to get info.

Call bullshit all you want. He starts off by giving away free "review copies" and gets a few positive reviews. Once that's done people who didn't get a free copy line up to purchase. The books aren't terrible if you're a complete idiot or a newbie. If you have any experience at all you'll feel cheated. Chances are if you have experience you won't be buying ebooks from some douchebag on a forum anyway.
