Anyone else notice this with HD?
anyone else noticing certain shows shot on TV and viewed on a 42 inch plus monitor the people in the show look like junk, for example the business of porn show, noticed how the host and everyone interviewed you can see every age spot every wrinkle etc?
Noticing it on TV more and more I think video editors should get 50 inch monitors so they can see how peoples faces will look when its blown up on a 42+ inch TV and shot in HD On the other hand if you plan on showcasing your HD stuff on a WAY smaller screen (like a tube box) no doubt things look richer |
Yes, I especially notice it on old news anchors.

Hmm, my wifes professional life seems secure. She's a make-up artist, and I foresee a LOT more need for good ones in the future for the abovementioned reasons.

As long as they actually tape it with HD equipment, then thats ok. What gets me is when they just stretch a 4x3 image to 16x9 and pass it off as an "hd" program. Or how channels like cnn and espn and others just slap up bars on either side of their old picture and claim that they're now in hd. The latter is more acceptable, but still crappy.
Just say no to stretched heads. |
all my TV's are 52" inches or bigger... Gotta love Samsung 52" 1080p 120hrtz and 240hrtz LCD TV's !!

I've always said that the most important thing when everyone switches to HD is CASTING.
Hygene, razor bumps, age and make-up will all show if the lighting is right. A tad overexposed would help flaws as well but not all the time. |

My new Canon VIXIA HF S10 Dual Flash Memory High Definition Camcorder has the skin option. Or you can soften the skin by shooting 30p or 24 instead of 60i or 60p.:2 cents: |
