An APOLOGY to Lovercash

On Monday, I made a post in this forum about Lovercash. The post was in poor judgement
and should have not been made. It was not true or appropriate and I regret making it.
I have apologized for making the post to the necessary individuals and taken full responsibility for my action.

The post was born purely of frustration on my part and in not in my normal character.
I have chosen here to admit my error and take full responsibility for it.

I believe that all aspects of business and life are a journey of constant learning and growth. To error is human and as long as one learns from and ones mistakes and is willing to take responsibility for them and show remorse, the end result is always beneficial over the long term.

I also believe in second chances and would like to have one in this situation. I am sure all of us have had a bad day and said or done something they have regretted. It is usually ones desire to try to make it right if they have a good conscience and feel bad about what they have done. Obviously, this is my desire here.

My one year old affiliate account was terminated about 30 minutes after I made my original post and I completely understand why. I have asked for a second chance to redeem myself based on my past performance and loyalty but have not, as of yet, been given that chance.

I am still very hopeful I will have the opportunity to correct my error and once again, prove my worth. At this point, I have been told that they do not need or want my traffic and it is very disappointing to me not to have a good home for my targeted 18,000 to 22,000 monthly uniques and 1,000's of annual joins that had such a great home in one of the Lovercash niches.

In the end, I own all responsibility for my actions and must lay in the bed I have made for myself. I am very well aware of this and once again, apologize to Lovercash for my error in judgement as they had always been good to me and taken care of my needs.

Does seem odd that the thread got his account closed. He didn't go off on them just expressed that his stats/conversions were very low.

This is one of the models they love to promote, and have selected to be used on their frontpage. Do you think Gianna Michaels live in Amsterdam, and looking for a date? O'rly?

Sorry to hear TimmyTuna, but good of you to apologize for your thread of frustration. I know you and I have discussed your business with them in the past and you always spoke good of them. They are good guys, and i'm sure it'll work out;-)

Unless there is some behind-the-scenes stuff we don't know about, that wasn't cool on their part.

Glad to see you apologize for your end of things.

My bank said they were closing my account over a $400 discrepancy in fees this week, after 6 or 7 years of being together. I started at branch level, went up to regional and finally to VP of corporate communications, who assisted and passed me on to the executive assistant of the CEO.

It all started fixing itself yesterday at 5 PM and then the "weekend" came for them and I don't know the final outcome.

What I can tell is that my branch manager is back-peddling because I went above her head. She originally said "upper management supports my decision" and that she was closing my account. After she saw the corporate VP and assistant to the CEO cc'd in an email to her, she reversed most of those fees. I still have $110 floating around and unaccounted for out there. I guess she didn't go far enough up the "upper management" food chain. I did.

It's not cool for businesses to shut down accounts because somebody disagrees with them.

To paraphrase one of the emails to my bank yesterday, "what we have is a relationship and all relationships have their ups and downs. We've hit a speed bump in ours and I hope we can get over it."

Companies need to take the good with the bad.

I would never terminate an account unless I had a very good reason and perceived them as a true threat to my business. I have fired one client in my life. I wanted to fire many more than that.

The reality is that we liberally use boards in this industry. As a program owner, the odds are that you're going to see a few negative threads about you over the years. Companies move on from those threads every day.

A negative thread about a company isn't bad in itself, but how that company responds to that thread is the most telling.

I hope for your sake that they re-think things through and enable your account again.

You flew off the handle and apologized. Hopefully they will do the same.

Unless there is a valid reason why they shouldn't. If that is the case then they should state that reason and/or at least state that their is one.

Having said that, there are always two sides to every story. I am responding to your side.

This made me laugh a lot for some reason. :1orglaugh

WiredGuy 08-01-2009 10:16 AM

I don't think they would term your account over a bad PR thread. I'm willing to venture a guess your joins wasn't converting well enough to offset the payouts and in light of that plus the thread it led to a termination. If your account was making money, bad PR or not, you're making them money. This thread is a great gesture, but if it wasnt profitable, its time to end the relationship.

epitome & wiredguy....you both make very good points and I had considered all of those issues... wiredguy: I assume you are exactly correct ...but I just find it surprising that they would have fed ex'd me checks every 2 weeks for almost a year if my traffic was not profitable? epitome: The only thing I had done was to inquire about stats on a few recent occasions... I have now learned that it is better to just send traffic and get paid...with little or no communication with the sponsors...Diversification is also the key....not smart to have all your eggs in one basket....isn't hindsight always 20/20 haha...
