How to know if a wordpress theme is SE friendly?

I love to work with free themes and tweak them a bit. But I found out that some themes got shitty SE results as others got idexed almost imediatly. How can I know in advance if a theme is SE friendly or not?

Is it a good idea to always use the same theme by changing the header and colors?

Thanks

SEO optimized template means that the individual post page has the source a little bit 'modded' or written differently than non-SEO templates.

This simply means the H1 tags are for the individual post title, while the H3 is the blog's title. (On non-seo templates, the blog title is H1 and the post title is H3)..

... besides minor things like templates, it is also a good idea to know certain keywords before everyone else know. :winkwink:
