I fucking hate CC bill link codes

Seriously, been in the industry for over 6 years, and CC bill is still a complete cluster fuck to me and I've avoided programs which use it for years due to the fact that I've had so many times where my link code has been wrong and I've lost sales.

How the fuck do I actually link my shit to a CC bill site? Is there a tutorial? Maybe it's because I'm drunk a lot, or that I'm not that bright, or because I have ADHD and I can't fucking sit still for 30 seconds to figure out their fucking SHIT link system, but goddamn. I want to promote some CC bill programs now and I STILL can't fucking figure out which fucking code goes where in their limp-dick shitballs magic crystal ball fucking link system. I feel like I need to ask a one-eyed gypsy for a magical goat shit covered feather to wave over my keyboard 3 and a half times during a full moon while jerking myself off with a cheese grater with a 2 litre of mountain dew in my ass just to get a fucking link code to credit me a fucking sale.

you take your CCbill affiliatecode from the specific program (something like 1240787)
and then you go to the promoarea of the site or cashprogram and pick up your links

Even retarded asian oursourced workers can do it - if you cant, then stop trying to be a webmaster

katharos 08-25-2009 08:21 AM

please drive carefully

A lot of programs including ours have a link generator in the affiliate area.
creates all your links for you then its just cut and paste.
hope that helps.
cheers

I never claimed to not be retarded, in fact, I take pride in the fact that I wear a helmet at my desk every day.

Here is a quick tutorial cos I used to be the same when I first started out.

For this example I am going to use our own CCBill affiliate code and what I will do is show you the parts relevant to the program.

First of all here is one of our links with an affiliate code added. I have removed "h" from http in these example as the forum truncates long urls.
attp://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clicks.cgi?CA=914797-0000&PA=403476

There are two key parts to the code.

"914797-0000" is the id of the site you are promoting. Some programs may run a couple of sites under the one account (sub accounts) and the code may then look like "914797-0001" or "914797-0002"

"403476" is your own CCBill webmaster id which you will have been allocated when you joined the site's program. I am using "403476" as an example and your number will be different.

You can send traffic to different parts of the site by modifying the code. In this example I am going to send the click to the updates page of the site and the code looks like this.

attp://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clicks.cgi?CA=914797-0000&PA=403476@HTML=http://www.lady-sonia.com/updates.html

The part I have added is @HTML=http://www.lady-sonia.com/updates.html
You just need to change the url if you want to say send it direct to say a join page.

An example

@HTML=http://www.lady-sonia.com/join.html

and in full context..

attp://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clicks.cgi?CA=914797-0000&PA=403476@HTML=http://www.lady-sonia.com/join.html[/url]

If you have a load of sites merged into one CCBill affiliate account you must make sure to use the right webmaster id matched to the right program id. In the CCBill affiliate admin click on the Tools tab to get your webmaster id and program id.

Hope that helps you..

I understand CCBill is a processor and not a turnkey affiliate program solution. But, I don't see much of an excuse for 120+ character links though. I mean really.

garce 08-25-2009 09:25 AM

Use a link management script like TALS. Its free.

didnt ccbill just add in universal promo codes?
that way you can use the same promo code, not linking code but affiliate number for all ccbill sites.

Stephen 08-25-2009 12:16 PM

My only problem with CCBill link codes is the damned ampersand

I like valid code and that bit eats it

Sure, you can change it out to & by hand or script, but you shouldn't have to :2 cents:

The universal ID's and linking codes are different when using our new WMS system.

We have done away with the ampersand as well. This functionality will be live shortly.
