Netherlands is a bit of an odd mix actually. Pretty recently banks have actually been closing adult accounts. A word to the wise, don't tell the banks you are in the business, even in "friendly" countries.

grumpy 09-01-2009 01:11 PM

Holland, hands down :)

ThumbLord 09-01-2009 01:18 PM

Spain and Belgium me thinks

i would blame some "bankers with a lot money, but No Brain", Money doesn't help always some mentality controlled by idiocy

dready 09-01-2009 01:32 PM

NL is also considering a law very similar to 2257.

i wish this never happens, but if that even happened, it's ok as long as they don't limit do ability and niches

epitome 09-01-2009 01:49 PM

Any of those countries that those off-shore setup companies advertise. Those lax laws exist for a reason ... see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.

ilnjscb 09-01-2009 01:58 PM

why argentina

I know they have european descended beauty - but as a country why?

J. Falcon 09-01-2009 01:59 PM

I would have to say Holland. But CP has gotten so out of control that there are hardly any "friendly" countries left.

Is Argentina really porn friendly? I wouldn't have thought so.

Yea, but what i believe is, some people use and manipulate this subject a lot to take away People's freedom.

Probably Millions of People killed by knifes but nobody ever thought to criminalize knifes itself, so any one who is involve in this industry one way or an other must be braver then this imho.

i have never been any of the webmaster or industry shows, but i doubt if there was any subject related to fight with censorship crap :winkwink:

The intention was to filter CP sites, like they do in Scandinavia and UK, but they admitted during a hearing that 1/3 of the websites were not CP but "young adults". I am not sure which sites are on their list now, but I know paysites like teendreams.com, teenflood.com, and the diesel/brothersincash/teenmegacash sites was on their censorlist. The australian abbywinters.com was also on their list, including many promoters websites. So basically; censorship.

Same shit happened in Scandinavia, where some fewer "young adults" but legal sites were censored. I think they revised their lists. But the process is outrageous imo, how can you label a website and the site owner like that without any proof or court?

NL is not EU, but there are common regulations/guidelines and definitions in EU. Each country still has its own laws. Right now EU is about to define any person under 18 as a "child" and forbid adults to possess explicit photos or videos of children. In several countries it is allowed with the consent of the person (if 15+ years), except for cases like distribution or commercial, which is 18+ today.
I don't think we will see something like 2257 though.

What banks and which companies were that ? Located in the Netherlands and I never heard about this. I think they did something out of the ordinary or illigal, otherwise I don't believe that...

v4 media 09-02-2009 02:32 AM

Spain's a great place, the highest rate of 24% tax for "foreign executives" is nice aswell..
As for banks, Caixa bills for loads of porn.. and has no problems with the industry.

CaptainHowdy 09-02-2009 02:51 AM

Iran I'll say...

Machete_ 09-02-2009 02:54 AM

Denmark is fine. The only problem is the tax and cost of running a company here :)

papill0n 09-02-2009 04:19 AM

Vietnam.

I think there is a group in Australia fighting against the censorship. But that is political, not lawsuit, I guess.
