Anyone make money with the "work from home" sites?
Just got off a conference call with a client and a new customer of theirs.
This guy has one of those "make $3k-$5k a month part time" websites. You fill out the form, then get some crappy ebook. then you are put into a non stop spamming funnel. He has 3 sites, one talks just about making money, the other one talks about post cards (he didnt even know what it is about) and the third was about work from home jobs for moms. So first... he sells something that he has NO CLUE what it is about. I asked him what is this postcard revenue nonsense? He said he bought the ebook from someone else and hasn't even read it but had these sites created. Next, on his page (he even has a video) of him making over $7k a month working 2-3 hours per week from his home in Florida (odd, he had a South Dakota phone number). So it was pretty obvious that he was lying, but when he says that he can only afford $200 a month for his budget until he can pay off his web design on his credit card. WHAT??? I asked him what about these thousands you make from your site? His response... "I work a full time job here, and I am trying to start up this business and don't have any money" :1orglaugh:1orglaugh WOW!!!! So, if this guy claims he is making $7k a month and reality is he doesn't even make more than minimum wage, then what are the chances of someone actually making money with these ebooks scams? I checked out some other sites and they are all the same. enter your info, get an ebook, then get spammed by every possible affiliate program out there. pretty amazing stuff. almost like a pyramid scheme :1orglaugh just thought I would share |
Duh... how do you think you get rich? By teaching others how to get rich, not by actually doing anything.
|
you can sell anything - just depends on the marketing skills
|
you thought these sites are legit? :1orglaugh
|
The only ones making money off of these 'scams' are the original people who came up with this idea. Does Madoff ring a bell?
|
those you can, do. those who can't, teach.

Most of these guys are promoting Biz Opportunity offers on PPC like "Make money with google" that are offered by mainstream affiliate marketing companies like copeac. They have payouts of over $30. You get a person to sign up to get a course on how to make money online with google/twitter/whatever.
Once a person signs up for the "free" trial their credit cards get raped on rebills. If you thought what is happening in adult with cross sales is shady you should see what happens in mainstream. Google is cracking down hard on rebill offers on adwords lately though thanks to the huge amount of fake acai berry/bizopp/resveratrol bullshit rebills. Some people already made small fortunes over the past year off those offers. |
whole thread full of people who don't understand the bizopp niche, aside from kektex, whose adwords comment is bang on the money. but there are still plenty of ways to still promote this stuff, adwords is only one.
the rebills are no different than anything you see with adult trials and memberships. in fact it's the exact same thing. |
