Advice Needed
As some know, I have a great deal of experience in filming/editing and taught in high school before the budget cuts were handed down and have decided to give tubes a shot.
The main goal for this was to try to raise $3500 to purchase a HMC150 for some other mainstream projects I have written over the past couple years. When I joined GFY, someone had mentioned about trying to work out a deal for hardware/content. After giving it up some thought, I am kind of curious that if I was to consider doing such a deal, what would be the best way to set it up so that neither party gets screwed? How many scenes would be a fair number in exchange for a cam of this cost? Does editing of the content generally come with the order of custom/exclusive scenes? Or would it be better to work out some sort of a product or placement in a storyline around company/program in exchange for equipment? I would love to stick with promoting tubes but sales is not my forte especially when I can shoot much better than I sell. Any suggestions or advice? I do have one script that has one of the main characters that leaves to California after graduation with hopes of becoming a movie star but returns home three years later after a stint in the adult industry and tries to reclaim a lost relationship from high school that will have viewers on edge especially with the unexpected ending. This could be an excellent opportunity for any company that wants to get their name out further in the mainstream world. Thanks in advance. |
