Yup, I would have bought that for sure. Fun bike to restore.

That is an old '45. I seem to recall it was $26k. And where there is a will there is a way.

Don't recall if it even had a for sale sign on it. Would probably go for $30-35k

KrisH, every once in a while you will find rice there, but more likely to find British.

If I was doing that I would just seek out private parties. Do like my Euro friends do, come visit, buy up all the trash they can find, get a shipping container and send them back.
