Should I spend money to have my Affiliate Program website (see sig) redesigned in Flash, etc (bells & whistles) to attract more quality affiliates? I design everything in straight HTML so I don't have the skillz to make my AP look like "the big boys" so I'm thinking a redesign would be in order. It may cost a few thousand but is it worth it? Will a "sleek" modern design attract superior affiliates?

Also: should I consider hiring an Affiliate Manager? ANY advice on how to successfully run an Affiliate Program would be most helpful! I have fifteen websites to promote, and two of them - Fellucia Blow and Sexxy Brandon - have conversion rates (steady) of 1-500. Total sales for all sites in the network are exceeding 500 monthly. This means I have a couple hot sites, right? So how do I get the wide world of affiliates to promote these gaurunteed moneymakers?

A lot of questions but super important ones to me. Any advice?

lol bells and whistles... if you're adding affiliate content/etc by hand then having an ACTUAL AFFILIATE PROGRAM (script) where an affiliate can input their CCBill affiliate ID and get actual promo content vs. a nice "coming soon" message, might be in order. lolz... bells and whistles :1orglaugh :error :Oh crap

A) having your affiliate program redesigned shouldnt cost you anywhere near thousands it should be a couple hundred at most, go to a place like themeforest then get an idea for what "style" you are looking for, then take that style to someone like s2odesigns he's good and affordable, if you are picky like me use a tool like hotgloo.com to build a wire frame of what you really want with spots for everything.

Hiring an affiliate manager would be the case only if you have a specific measurable financial gain from you spending your time doing something else, so you would have to weigh the value to your company of having a sales person selling your sites in B2B deals.
If you did decide to, then you would want to have a very defined role for this person lay out a specific daily job overview a list of weekly and monthly tasks, as well as a specific sales increase goal that you need to achieve to pay that persons salary.

Best advice for running and affiliate program, track everything. Layout all your numbers know what your costs profits are on every line item you have, then give yourself a reasonable salary and reinvest the rest into growth strategies either with a traffic acquisition strategy like buying traffic yourself, or by doing promos or gifts for your big affiliates.

To increase promotion to those sites, hit up the biggest sites in the niche yourself get them set up with better payouts and get custom promo tools made (again by someone like s2odesigns "I just love his work in case your wondering why 2 references") give them the tools pre them signing up and get them on board to push you harder, give them tiered payouts that increase as they increase their promotion.

Bw used i have mentioned a few times typically most of ours use somewhere around 1 to 2 gbps per 100k visitors.

World wide i would estimate active adult webmasters around 10k

We all know that there are a limited number of income generating opportunities for adult webmasters including; membership sales, cross sales, referral income, webcam upsells, dating site upsells, pay per minute VOD, toy/product upsells and supplement sales.

My question is? With the decline in the number of paysites and/or paysite programs with members areas where do you see upsell companies like ours, that have built our business model on maintaining a sold presence in these members areas, doing to both maintain and possibly increase our business in the future?

Honestly i would tap into micro product upsells that are billed directly thru the intial membership. So work with NATS MPA CCBill Epoch at doing direct 1 click micro billing on your products.

To grow the business I would work with paysite companies on a rebill reduction system where you start to add products and features as customers rebill to increase the value of their membership overtime. Look at ways to include free shows and different access points and vehicles for them to further experience and use the content.

Then if i was going crazy to grow, for your type of system, I would take your products and build them into a language and platform specific monetization scheme where i was fully integrated with billers for paysites to push revenue via integrated upsells and retention schemes.

Yep whenever i need to start my creative thought process before a meeting i do this so enjoy.

Hmmm changing your mentality most times won't work, so the theory that somehow I can motivate you with some baller lifestyle advice like Tony Robbins etc is probably not going to happen.

I think people will do up to the level that they fear losing. IE you are happy at 9-5 and doing more means you have to give up something since, you dont want to really give that up you will never get the extra income.

To answer the second part, the only thing that motivates me is doing something I think is challenging, I took a pay cut to get this job 3 years ago just because I thought it would be a challenge.
