Watched Dead Girl this weekend. One of the best films I have seen this year. Truly twisted...

"There was a time, honest to God, when nothing could offend me. Harmony Korine, I Spit on Your Grave, John Waters. Hell, I used to watch Faces of Death marathons. I was impenetrable. And you?d think, after five years of movie reviewing, five Saw movies, the rise and fall of torture porn, and eight years of George Bush, that I?d become even more numb to it. Maybe it?s age; maybe it?s being a parent. I dunno. But movies like Captivity or this one, Deadgirl (now on DVD) ? they get under my skin."

Plot

After skipping school and breaking into the boiler room of a deserted mental hospital, buddies Rickie (Shiloh Fernandez) and JT (Noah Segan) make a shocking discovery: the plastic-covered naked body of a woman lying on a gurney. When they realize that the woman may be alive, JT shocks Rickie by suggesting they take advantage of her. But all is not as it seems in this dark thriller: The door to the boiler room had been rusted shut for years.

We did a private screening of Trick R Treat this past weekend. It's actually pretty fucking good. Kind of like a halloween themed creepshow.
