When hosting companies go to shit

I am very close to telling one of my hosts goodbye, after a long time with them, this will be the second time this year I do this.

Always the same shit, a tech that just has his way of doing things, fixing what isnt broken, you know the type of tech that likes to do weekly maintenance and bring down all servers for 30 minutes so he can organize all wires in a color correct order.

It seems like hosting company owner?s fear these arrogant fucks; they put 100% trust in whatever this newcomer tech has to say.

Paying good for hosting because of good support = a junk sales pitch, ive seen it over and over again, good solid support going to shit, its like personal credit, many with good credit today have shit credit in 6 months.

So what?s the solution? Well once a hosting company goes to shit its game over, it takes them months to realize that their tech is chasing away clients. By that time you spent weeks dealing with the techs way of doing things.

SO my advice is the moment you have problems jump ship and give someone else a shot, time is money and these techs do not understand that concept.

More details to come!

If you were hosted at www.techiemedia.com you wouldn't have had to make this thread. Most likely you would be saving monet, and most definitely you wouldn't ever be worrying about your hosting and wasting your precious time.:2 cents::thumbsup

That happened to me with OC3 years ago, went to complete shit within a month, techs doing shit I've never heard of before crashing my server, left and right.

The hosting company really needs a good team behind their network with a good leader to have a solid foundation and good uptime. This is especially good if your colocated since experienced people can help you to build your rack(s) correctly.

It's really annoying when hosts let you down. Thankfully I've been in the same place for 3 years without any troubles whatsoever!

Yeah but you and I both know, 99% of the time gladiators end up dead on the floor at he end of the day or eaten by exotic animals.
