Until about 5:30pm today I had an empty room. I now have a roommate. I am not sure what language they speak most often. He also in pain I guess, which sucks for him. He has been pushing the call light about every 2 minutes. He also yells (in English) when I push the call light for the nurse. So I am getting nurse call light jacked.

At first I thought he was a BIG TIME channel surfer because I kept hearing click, click, click, like every second or perhaps 2-3 per seconds. I figured out he is not clicking the channel clicker. He is clicking his PCA. That is the IV device that gives you "break through" narcotics as often as the doctor sets it, then based on if you remember to click it or need it. Example mine is set to 1.5 mg of my drug every 10 minutes. Though I learned from overhearing a nurse, his is set to every 30 minutes if you press it you get some (.5mg same drug as me).

Please do not let him click that a 120 times a minute tonight. I do not wish to be released to a prison.

what kind of ward are you on? what does it look like is wrong with him?

I think it is the kidney ward.

Tell the nurse to you'll give up a dose of what your getting if she'll give it to him so he will quit!

I hate "roomies" in the hospital. Kidney pain is a son of a bitch though how he's acting is a little unexcuseable. On the brightside, at least he's not talking to you.

everyone has a different pain tolerance, but I wonder why they don't let him get enough to go into lala land if he chooses to

I get super pain too but I am not moaning and I am pretty sure cursing in some European language. He has a fucking epidural, that is the same shit they give women for child birth. He has has a PCA pain pump and some other shit. Unless he has the pain tolerance of a 3 year old he should shut the fuck up.

Pain medicine doctors have already seen him and hooked him up. They have no problems giving the good stuff and really getting your pain controlled fast.

This dude is just my curse. Which has somehow gotten worse, well I already know how it got worse. I figured well it can not get any worse than it is. Of course I would just have to be proved wrong. He has a steady line of people visiting him which did not stop before my MRI and I do not know if they hung during it, but there are new ones here now. Then to top it off he is pretty damn popular beyond the real people visiting. Each time he hangs up the phone about 5-15 minutes latter his phone rings about 20 times before he answers it (which I get it takes him time, but DAMN).
