NASA finds buckets with water in them found on the moon!

WTF? Who would have thought.

"In the 20 to 30 meter crater we found maybe about a dozen, at least, two-gallon buckets of water. This is an initial result," Colaprete told reporters.

They should get a new spokesman. The way he said it made it sound like they found buckets with water in them.

But NASA's ambitious plans to put US astronauts back on the moon by 2020 to establish manned lunar bases for further exploration to Mars under the Constellation project are increasingly in doubt.

NASA's budget is currently too small to pay for Constellation's Orion capsule, a more advanced and spacious version of the Apollo lunar module, as well as the Ares I and Ares V launchers needed to put the craft in orbit.

A key review panel appointed by President Barack Obama said existing budgets are not large enough to fund a return mission before 2020.
Maybe if we (the entire species) quit blowing billions and trillions of tax payer dollars on killing one another, we could work on something more productive like space exploration and high efficiency energy sources. Perhaps we could actually find a way to spread from this godforsaken rock and clean up our own planet before overpopulation and pollution wipes us all out....

But no, that's not gonna happen, lol... :1orglaugh

I think "buckets" is just a measurement unit. I don't think they literally found buckets left by aliens/humans.

Here's another article link: http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/inquire...-water-on-moon

That will take another moon mission which will be done, and done soon.
Feel there could be a very good chance of it or at least the building block proteins. Then again the ice could be sitting there from some impact from deep space - though many also think early life or building blocks came riding in on an asteroid, or comet.

Not posted in this thread but REALLY surprised that it is not a major talking point about all of this. Especially since how many people live for the chances of conspiracy theories, debunking them, and so forth.

NASA knew this back when they impacted the device a month ago. They wanted to keep it secret. They realized that they could not keep it a secret much longer before it got out, so they released it to the public. It does imply to me though that no US government agency is capable of holding any real secret for long, especially considering this is a small secret versus the ones most theorist think they keep secret. Though they could just reverse this and say it is a red herring to make people think that.

The government or NASA mislead us ..... no way.
