Should I buy an HDMI Monitor or is DVI good enough?
So I am in the market for a new monitor and desktop. Noticed they now have HDMI desktops and monitors. I will be using it mainly for poker but wouldn't mind being able to connect my xbox360 to it. Is there a big difference between HDMI and DVI?
Heres what I am looking to get = http://cgi.ebay.com/ASUS-Eee-Box-EB1...item3356135275 I like the EEEbox because its so small and poker doesn't take up so much memory. The HDMI output one is a couple hundred more than the DVI one. and for the monitor I was thinking Gateway XHD3000H 30" http://support.gateway.com/s/MONITOR...10936Rnv.shtml Would this be a decent setup for online poker multitabling? |
If you're gonna use it more for the xbox 360, fine, but if you will be playing poker more a setup like this would be pointless. Do you really need that size of a screen and hdmi to play poker?

also, if you're gonna use it for your xbox 360 the hdmi one would be better since you would have to buy an adapter for your xbox if you got the dvi one.

Well I need a big monitor because i play multiple tables, a 21" can probably only handle 12 and they will have to be minimized. A 30" I can play 9 or more at normal size so I don't have to squint to see my cards. I found a nice 30" Gateway for $500 used with a couple deads pixels, going to buy that and probably the EEEbox tomorrow :)
