Do you find the majority of people in your city are HAPPY?

or at least on the surface? Calgary turns into a gloomy nightmare in winter. the girls stop going to the clubs as much and put on that 10 pounds for winter.

How about your city how would you consider the way it stacks up?

im guessing most hot places obviously have less changes.

Overload 12-14-2009 07:22 PM

no,some people for the remote country work for their house in the big city they looks tired and scared, coz they are not the owner of the city, but some of families are very happy, they live a healthy and joy life,

Big Chad 12-14-2009 08:00 PM

80 Degree's here feels like 85. People are pissy lol (Florida)

Dodge2hot 12-14-2009 08:06 PM

With all the jobs that have been lost this year, NO BODY is very happy around here.

goldfish 12-14-2009 10:29 PM

I live in a beach town, ppl are always happy..

Of course this could be attributed to the amount of drinking that goes on. We don't have an island drunk, we all take turns!

PornMD 12-15-2009 01:44 AM

Seems like less people say hi when passing by than they used to, but otherwise I think on the surface people at least act happy. Being on SoCal, surely a ton of people here are pretty much buried in debt or at least underwater on a mortgage.

with -44C in Edmonton I guess it's about that in Calgary so there is no fun.

MrMaxwell 12-15-2009 03:44 AM

Happy?
These assholes around here are ignorant, rude, confused, negative and ridiculous.
Happy?
Happy hell

Sarah_Jayne 12-15-2009 04:02 AM

Bitching and moaning is the national sport of the UK and London is the capital. So, even if we were mostly happy, we would hide it.

Raf1 12-15-2009 05:37 AM

I would say most are pissed off from all the traffic. The weather just makes it worse, lol

Are you from São Paulo? Lol....the traffic always sucks..people are used to this already, but it is impossible not getting mad on that! And in this time of the year it rains a lot..floods all over the city and all that complications... besides it all, people seems to be ok.

Altwebdesign 12-15-2009 06:54 AM

well, walking down the street the other day i had a glass bottle thrown at me, for no reason and got called a "smelly wanker" by some tacky pikey chavs.

That can happen at any time of the year, so no, theyre not happy

slapass 12-15-2009 06:59 AM

In Rio, everyone is happy. Even when shit gets fucked up they are happy, it is pretty cool. In the Midwest, not so much. could just be me but it is really cold and not much fun right now.

When in London i met up with polite locals several times and just once i had a lil issue with the toursits I guess who called me a 'You, cockney jerk, you're sorry' when i said I was sorry for not knowing the direction they asked.

Well, considering I live sandwiched between two ski resorts, yeah we're "happy" all year long. Actually more so in the winter--riding, skiing, more clubbing, eating at good restaurants and spending money.

It's like that in this state
Everyone loves to be miserable and complain and whine
But god damn anyone who offers any kind of viable solution to anything... they'll run that poor loser out on a rail!!!

Axelo9 12-15-2009 10:15 AM

it's freezing here and the economy is low so everyone is depressed and they complain :(

Lace 12-15-2009 10:47 AM

Most people around me are generally happy. You've got the occasional asshole but that's anywhere. :) I love my small town until I get stuck behind some idiot doing 35 in a 50mph zone with no passing lanes.

Agent 488 12-15-2009 11:12 AM

the city you live in is colder than the north pole literally. what do yo expect? move somewhere warm playa.

Antonio 12-15-2009 11:24 AM

they get hapier around 8pm - this is when the majority have their first drink

2.5 to be exact, i had a chance to go when i was under 18 or 21? i forget what the law was years ago but decided not to.

so now i am patiently waiting. when you do things legit it takes forever. if i was a mexican and hopped the border id prob have it by now ;)

but i dont feel bad when my dad first moved down he lost his job and had to restart the process all over a couple times. i think it took him near 8 years to get his green card.

o and this isnt like a working visa, this is permanent residency, i want to become a full fledge citizen. hopefully meet some hot white/latina or hot white/anything and that will be my life lolz.

Daddy Big Nuts 12-15-2009 01:01 PM

Europeans Billing Europe!

I would say people appear to be generally unhappy - if you make eye contact and connect with someone that can change - but generally people seem overwhelmed, harried and distrusting anymore...

i always walk with confidence and with my head up. yesterday i was walking through the mall and i look around and everyone is just walking around like a robot staring at the floor. it was kinda sad.

what i noticed bigtime was alot of people in the malls but the stores were DEAD. like no one was buying. i didnt have to wait in line.

and this is in Calgary which is supposed to be the richest if not the richest per capita in a 1million city at the most popular mall in the city.

and it just made me wonder how i find people are less and less happy. happy people dont walk around staring at the floor with a mini frown on lol.
