Urban Meyer is done as the coach at Florida!
 

Urban Meyer is stepping down as the head coach at the Univ. of Florida. I wonder if he is going to coach the National Championship game? And why? A new job, personal issues or imminent scandal?

Looks like he is sick - "After consulting with my family, Dr. Machen, Jeremy Foley and my doctors, I believe it is in my best interest to step aside and focus on my health and family.

He is only 45, young for a coach.

I didn't know Urban Meyer was admitted to a hospital because of chest pains following the Southeastern Conference championship game.

Yep the next morning and has been back multiple times since that time with chest pains. Orlando Tv station is reporting sources that Urban suffered a heart attack during the season this year but never told his team that it happened.

ESPN also reporting Urban has a heart valve muscle defect.

Bob Stoops to Florida maybe? Boise State guy? I'm confident they'll find the right guy. UF is a premier job.

Stoops will absolutely be offered the job, whether he takes it or not is another question.

Kyle Willingham the coach of Utah would be a good fit. Coached under Urban, young etc.

Charlie Strong still not out of the running as he hasn't officially signed his deal with Louisville.

And from the NFL, Jon Gruden would be a good fit.

Lots of options out there, and Foley is apparently going to have a replacement named within the week.
