A few good reads, none of them particularly recent, so you may have ripped through them already:

The New York Trilogy by Paul Auster

The Ice at the Bottom of the World by Mark Richard (collection of short stories)

The Floating Opera and The End of the Road by John Barth

I would suggest some Steven King particularly

The Stand

The Dark Tower Series starting with The Gunslinger

By far one of the best series I have eve read.

Another good book is The Key To Rebecca by Ken Follet

Life of Pi by Yann Martel

Intent to Kill by James Grippando

Harlan Coben write some good quick reading books that are pretty well done

Oh man . . . I love The New York Trilogy.

I just read _Sexing the Cherry_ and loved it (thought it sounded stupid but it was in the free box on the sidewalk so . . . yeah. Nothing like the title suggests).

I'm about 20 pages into 'The Road'. Just finished 'Predictably Irrational' if you want a great non-fiction, marketing read. I'm also reading 'On Writing Well' (non fict) and 'The Brief and Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao' (fict) -- both very good so far.

And I have the updated version of '24 Hour Work Week' on the way from Amazon.

Uncle John's bathroom reader.

Best book ever, and up to Vol. 9 now I think?
