Let's be honest, the term "teenager" when used on a tour...

Do you think the surfer actually visualizes a 19 year old or does the term "teenager" lead the surfer more to think the girls are in thweir early teens?

I am doing promo and its using the term "teenager" heavily, and I just cant help but think about the meaning behind the term, what people actually think a teenager is and why is is being focused on tours?

What are your thoughts on promoting "teenagers having sex" type of sites.

Me, I dont care, I know its all legal, the model is of age... fantasy is fantasy right?

but there has to be a reason its focused on, and i doubt its because the surfer thinks "oh hot, a 19 year old" LOL Meanwhile the model is wearing pig tails, holding a teddy bear and in a room dressed up like a actual teenager.... I dont know any 19 year olds who do that. LOL

anyway, just thinking while working LOL :thumbsup

Never used the term teen/teenager/young teen/girl on my stuff.:2 cents: I found the term border line.

But "teen" is ok?

It's an extremely grey area :winkwink:

the promo i am doing is of the "real teenagers" etc... not using the word "teen" truncated at all. Focusing on "emo teenagers" etc... gray area to say the least LOL

My point was, what is the difference between "teen", "teenage", and "teenager"?

ah gotcha, nothing I guess unless you play semantics. :thumbsup

Back to iriginal point of thread was does this term (teenager) even mean 18-19 to porn surfers? I doubt it. I dont think it really does because no man going to a "teenager porn" site is looking for 19 year olds. They are looking for girls holding teddy bears and sucking lollipops and laying in a room dressed up like hannah Montana fan. far from 19 year old fantasy, but do I care? No. If they are legal film them doiong whatever and call it whatever.

Fantasy is fantasy I dont care one way or the other, but we must be honest with ourself. I do tons of promo for stuff I wouldnt view myself, but I know guys like different things so I dont casre what the next guy likes unless it really involves children.

I think it's a retarded move to use the word teen... I understand it's a "style/niche" but I honestly think it's giving the wrong message... Fans knows that the girl is not 18 anymore (because most of the time it shows) and webmasters have been using this word way too much for the past years... Some people are not all stupid... Even if some others still think it's true and that's pretty pathetic... lol!

I understand the look of a younger girl might look more appealing for some people but I think the word teen is a bit heavy... But again this is just my personal opinion :) I say we barnstorm on finding a new one :)

When I think of a "teenager," I think of a 14-17 year old.

Amputate Your Head 02-03-2010 12:03 PM

I refuse to use the term. Too borderline for me, legal or not.
I reserve the right to reject any project I want. Those are among them.

I don't think a surfer ever thinks of anything as "porn" when they are jerking off.

When I see something with "teen" in it, I think of girls 16 to 19 years old. Fresh hot, horny pussy.

That is what a surfer thinks when he sees "teen".

And yes, in the majority of places 16 to 19 is perfectly legal for consensual sex. So there isn't any "illegal" thoughts going on (damn mind police in our country are getting bad)

What I mean is, "teen" niche porn is meant to satisfy the fantasy of men to nail that "Sweet 16" that is immortalized in hundreds of songs throughout time. Nothing more. No pedo shit or anything like that. The surfer doesn't see it and think: "Oh my God! They shot a girl who is under 18 and it is against the law to take pictures of girls under 18 naked!"

No.
They think: "I have my cock in my hand and I am fantasizing that I am fucking the hot 17 year old baby sitter while my wife isn't home"

Then they cum. End of story. People been fantasizing about that for centuries and always will.

same here. I dont think surfers are looking for underage *teens*. They expect to be seeing 18-19 year olds. its a grey area though.

Doug E 02-03-2010 01:51 PM

I haven't used teen or any version of it on my sites since I was probably 19/20 and the older I get the creepier the whole niche seems. Some guys don't have that problem, the feeling creepy about it bit. And thatd be cuz either they're still young or just old ass creeps.

edit - but ill give the rest of you an out, we've been conditioned to accept that the teenage niche is of course not an underage pedo thing and most surfers realize this. i just think its stupid we refer to the younger 18-25 ladies as teens given as the majority of teenaged people are underage and the majority of the 'teens' promoted arent even actual teens.

exceptionally well thought out post

my :2 cents: is that the vast majority of porn surfers and especially the ones who are attracted to the teen niche know full well the girls start out at 18 and the age goes up from there. For those that don't know many of them will actually contact a website fearing they will get in some sort of trouble. Simply explaining to them that the website is governed by US Laws and adhere to them will help educate them that the girls are of a legal age to appear in this type of content.

Text is a bit more touchy because you have to make clear that the models are of a legal age to appear in adult, sexually explicit material while at the same time not blowing the fantasy. The word 'teenager' for me personally makes me uncomfortable. Bottom line really is if you are not implying illegality, you are comfortable with the terms you are using and it's solid sales text then fuck it, use it and make money...

For the record, when I was going through our ToS for Royal Cash I made sure that certain terms or implications while promoting our content would not be acceptable. Our company does not want any visitors hitting our tours looking for underage content, they will be disappointed and we won't care if they are

OR...they realize that the term 'Teen' can and does mean millions to those that do it right
