COP-CMS Introduces Rights Holders Protection Programme

COP-CMS is to introduce its? Content Management Program on the 8th February 2010.

What is COP-CMS?

The Content Management System offers copyright holders the chance to identify their content against files uploaded on our customers? sites. The CMS creates ID files from videos uploaded by rights holders and checks these. Should a match occur the rights holder will have the choice to delete the video, allow videos less than 30 seconds, 2 minutes or 5 minutes.

How are the ID Files created?

Studios who sign up to our CMS upload their video files. We process these and create a fingerprint which is unique. This is then added to our library of protected works. The original uploaded file is then deleted.

How robust is the detection?

We believe we have one the most robust systems available. Videos can be blurred, resized, rotated or have sections removed and can still be matched. Our system is accurate enough to detect a video from just 1 second of footage.

How long has the system been in use in a commercial environment?

Our CMS has been in use on commercial platforms since September 2008. We have spent considerable resources on modifying and upgrading the original system and believe our current software is the best available.

Which sites will use COP-CMS to check for copyrighted works?

We have www gayforit com, www itsallgay com and www jerkyourtube com as confirmed users and are currently in discussion with a number of other sites. Our system is not just limited to video sharing sites; we are able to scan any sort of site including forums, FTP and torrent sites.

What is the cost?

There is no cost for Studios wishing to upload their content. We levy a small fee(currently free) against the sites that wish to check uploads meaning rights holders protect their work at no cost.

Are there any catches?

There are none. You can leave the CMS at any time and have your fingerprints removed.

We do not look for watermarking as too few companies are using this. We have instead spent our time ensuring the matching of the viewable video is almost 100%.
