Quickbooks.

Any accountant worth the money is going to want your P&L up front anyway.

Not sure about craigslist, but there's also YellowBook.com or just a straight up Google Maps search in your area. I've found bookkeepers here (Bay Area) that are actually very inexpensive. But definitely find just a regular bookkeeper type person first to sort out your stuff. They don't charge too much. Once you have it all in order, then get the expensive accountant. (CPA). The bookkeeper should also be able to set up Quickbooks for you. You should be able to choose between having the bookkeeper do a one-time fix, fix-as-needed, or do regular bookkeeping on a schedule you determine. Whatever fits for you. Any bookkeeper that doesn't give you all of those options is the wrong person and you should keep looking. You should be able to meet with them first, discuss what you need and decide if they're right (and able), without being billed for the meet.
Sorry I can't really help you with your specific area.

That's really about all I can say on the topic. I was searching high & low for a new bookkeeper & a CPA last year and went through all this myself. Met with some good people, but in the end decided to clean it all up myself. Taught myself Quickbooks, sorted out the mess, found a great CPA, and hired a payroll service.

best of luck to you :)
