I have lived here since 1996 and have dual British and American citizenship. In all that time, I have not managed to pick up one ounce of the accent. I often wish that I would be able to have some sort of the accent but only for moment like when I get a cab in London. I live in about as 'real' a London as you can get and have done since the day I arrived here. Trust me, this is my home and any 'exotic' feel has long since faded. It is simply where I live, where my life resides. I can't shake the American portion of who I am because it is part of my personal history but I think I have reached the point where I am mentally more British than American. It is only a matter of a few years before I have lived here longer than I did in the States.

So, I am not sure what Max Cash should exactly be caring about? I have never put on a Dick Van Dyke accent and pretended to be lunching with the Queen. Oh, you can read my location? Well done.
