Best way to track prices of stores
I need to track stores prices of items, for example of amazon for this book: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/074...pf_rd_i=283155
It is 13.99 but say it drops to 7.99 tomorrow. So my website would display 01/29/2010 - 13.99 *price change* - 03/03/2010 - 7.99 If there is a change of price and I want to display that on my website automatically, what is the best way of doing it? 1)Through the source code and scanning that every day? 2)Through a product database the shop may have that I can pull more easily? 3)Any other way? I would like to hear your ideas. |
You'd have to look at the source code of a page on the amazon website. Probably there are several different pages that show price lists.

Could you point me to an example of a page that shows a price list?
