Children being sexually abused and the church covering it up and often sending the priest to another diocese to continue on different children and he calls it "serious mistakes".

Maybe he will be doing the same for the US children abused.

I think serious change is going to come to the Catholic Church. Internal changes that may let women give mass and priests marry.

Of course you are not saying that, but you can't mix priest marriage and abused kids because it doesn't make any sense. That's two separated things.

The Catholic Church like most religions is stuck in the past and little will change.

What the Pope did not address was the cover up and hiding the fact that some victims were made to sign a vow of silence regarding the abuse. Rather than taking the children to the police and getting the offenders away from other children.

The Pope is worse than Satan! FUCK the Church!

The church already made similar moves in the US... the victims fired back with a rather substantial lawsuit against the LA archdiocese and I would not be surprised to see more going down... Tip of the iceberg imho.

I'm sure sex deprivation will do some pretty strange things to people. That coupled with the authority and time alone with children equals bad things..but also child molesters are drawn to such positions as its the perfect 'wolf in sheeps clothing' senario. if priests didn't exist would these same people be elsewhere abusing children? I'm sure a good percentage would be.

This is where I disagree. Some things are definitely hate.

I agree with Pope Benedict that he has described the abuse as shameful and hateful.
