SEOUL, South Korea - North Korea's military warned South Korea and the United States on Friday of "unprecedented nuclear strikes" over a report the two countries plan to prepare for possible instability in the totalitarian country.

Is it just me, or do threats from North Korea seem to go mostly ignored on the news? Is it because news organizations here are pre occupied with the Tea Baggers or Brittany Spears? Or is it that no one considers North Korea any kind of threat?

Nah, they make these threats all the time. Someday, they might just make good. Just not this week.....I hope.

They're also preoccupied with Jesse James and Tiger Woods.

I think more than anything it should be taken as a sign that the American government and media IS FRIGHTENED.

What North Korea fails to understand is that still to this day there is some fifty thousand US troops in South Korea. Going to war with SK is the same as going to war with the US. However, this time, China won't be helping out.

They obviously don't want to agitate North Korea. If they thought it would be an easy win, they would have stepped in there and steamrolled them years ago. Everyone knows the US only fights battles with countries they outright know they can beat around. :2 cents:

As soon as some random little asian nation steps up and says "Fuck off or we'll nuke you..." They have no retaliation?
