When YOU die - who gets your business?
 

It's something I have been asking myself the last few days. When it comes down to it - my brother wouldn't use it due to his duties with the church and my mother doesn't know how to work a computer. There really isn't anyone else. So it dies with me after a few months.

So who will you leave your business too?

You should maybe write a living will (if available in your jurisdiction) with wind down/sell off provisions for your net properties. Proceeds then go to your estate. Intestate succession is a bitch so write a will or get going on a trust.

I'm taking it with me so I have something to do while in my coffin.


Seriously though, I haven't thought of that. maybe I should.

well i don't plan on dying until i am old so if anything maybe one of my kids will take it over or i would have already sold it beforehand. if i die unexpectedly, i would hope my girlfriend would know enough to sell my most valuable domains.

I have probably about a quarter of my end needs mapped out / met.

I had a living will put together many years ago since I am not confident my family would pull the plug on me as I have expressed. I misplaced it though, so I probably will be needing a new one of those. :1orglaugh

I need to sit down with a lawyer and do a final will and testament. I keep putting it off but really it's something everyone should have if you have anything of substance to your name.

I've taken care of some of my funerary arrangements though. After we burried my uncle, since he was unmarried, I picked up the plot next to him just in case. So if something is to happen while I'm young at least we'd get to be burried next to someone we knew in life. I guess that was a bit of a foolish / emtional purchase, but you never know.

Pushing all my stuff over to the Brazzers crew....all the content I have is stolen anyway ...

If your family relies on your income, and your income goes away when you die (ie. they don't know how or can't run the business) then you really really need to get life insurance to protect your family when you are gone.

My oldest son knows enough about it and knows that 3xTom will guide him through whatever he needs to do to sell stuff off. Whatever I have from any resource goes into a trust that spilts the assets between the two boys. The oldest is the executor for the younger one's portion, to keep his drug addicted, dumbass sperm donor father's grimy paws off it.

The oldest also gets custody of the youngest, per a Judge's signed order.

The stuff that isn't in the trust, or specifically given in the will, they can fight over. ~lol~
