Yes. It's Markus Frind's site. You may know him for that famous photo of him holding his GARGANTUAN adsense check. Looks like his free dating site, Plentyoffish.com is still clocking those numbers and it keeps growing, and growing... What impact, if any, do large free dating sites have on adult dating?

The quality of women I have met there isn't even on par with those living in a trailer-park. Free attracts the bottom-of-the-barrel...so there will still be a market for paid sites, IMO.

Kudos for the concept and the mad money being made...but I still happily pay for a site like Match. And I simply don't think POF compares to "Adult Dating" if you were, in fact, comparing to a site like AFF -- most women on POF are NOT looking for a simple hookup...at least that's the case in my market :2 cents:

Yeah, because he does so well by offering his site for free and doesn't care about the competition. Markus is going to do what he wants to do regardless of what other people think. And he's raking in the cash.
