Looking for views on this.

With blogs, do you think your text is better placed before your image or after it? Or do you not see it being a significant factor?

I see the text before the image in a better position for SEO purposes but that means that your supporting image, vid or banner to catch the surfer could be below the fold.

Any views on this?

First line of text with keywords in before the image and the rest of the text for the surfer underneath the image.

I think It matters more from a sales perspective than a SEO one.

Yes that's kind of what I am trying to get at. I probably shouldn't have included SEO in the heading.

So you are saying that text before is better for SE, but image before is better for sales?
