In 2007, 42,655 new cases of HIV/AIDS in adults, adolescents, and children were diagnosed in the 33 states with long-term, confidential name-based HIV reporting [2]. CDC has developed an innovative system designed to estimate the number of new HIV infections (or incidence) for the United States in a given year. Using this technology, CDC estimates that 56,300 new infections occurred in the United States in 2006 [3].


In 2007, the largest estimated proportion of HIV/AIDS diagnoses among adults and adolescents were men who have sex with men (MSM). This category accounted for 53% of the overall diagnoses and 71% among men [2]. High-risk sexual contact (sexual contact with persons known to have HIV infection or have a higher risk of contracting HIV infection) accounted for 11% of the overall diagnoses.

Executive Summary

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) have a significant health and economic impact on the American people. However, the scope of the STD epidemic can be difficult to measure. The most widely quoted estimate - 12 million annual new STD infections - was published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in 1988. This report updates that estimate. A panel of experts convened by the American Social Health Association (ASHA) for the Kaiser Family Foundation calculates that the actual number of new cases of STDs is approximately 15 million annually.

Language ought to be included in the legislation that pre-existing conditions caused by sexually promiscuous activities are not covered under Nancy?s call for pre-exiting coverage.




BOTTOM LINE is, Nancy and her sexually promiscuous crowd want the sexually prudent to pay the costs of the sexually promiscuous? irresponsible sexual activities, and preexisting coverage is their ticket to having others pay the tab for their irresponsible activities..

I was just reading somewhere about something called MMS (multi mineral suplement or something similar, can't remember the proper name)

Apparently it can cure HIV/AIDS, not sure if it's true or not obviously. But the article made sense and was quite intersting.

Well one could say the same things about people who smoke or drink or eat too much and eat the wrong kinds of foods.

The fact is heart disease, cancer, stroke, chronic lower respiratory diseases and diabetes account for 60% of all deaths and 90% of those are LIFESTYLE related.

The fact is if 100% of the population stopped smoking, drinking, eat less fattening foods, ate less red meat, sugar, ate more fruit, veggies whole grains etc. and ate less overall and exercised that would reduce the cost of healthcare more than any reform could ever do. But people are lazy fucks that don't want to change their ways.

This is so true. They also smoker more, drunk more, and download more internet porn than liberals. Of course, that isn't true of all denominations. Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses, which are considered cults by mainstream christians, take relatively good care of their bodies.
