You want dual boot (reboot needed to switch the OS), or running more than 1 OS at the same time?

If you want to run them simultaneously you'll need Vmware or something similar.

Personally I use Sun's Virtual Box. I have VM's for XP, Win7, and Ubuntu, with Vista as my primary.

Virtualbox or wmware, I recommend the former.

I assume you are running a PC however if by chance you arent you can run VMware Fusion or Parallels. I believe Boot Camp is an option as well.

I run Windows 7 and Leopard on my MacBook Pro because I need to in order to run software for work on my Mac but I dont know that it makes things "faster"

I run VMWare on my Macs.

Did you intall VirtualBox, create a new virtual machine, and point it to the installation CD for that operating system? It's a two step process: Install VirtualBox. Then use VirtualBox to install a new operating system.

Or am I missing something?

You're busy so you want to run 2 OS's? Makes no sense.

Laptop + desktop = better config.
