Domainers look inside...

Saw this earlier at Domain Name Wire. An alternative to parking, with a brilliant GEO twist.

RootOrange – RootOrange will lease your domain name on a local basis to multiple parties. In theory, this leasing will provide you with a steady income stream that should top what you can achieve by using the domain at an international-only level. Check out DivorceLawyer.com for an example.

The concept is completely lost on you. There's this thing called "advertising" that companies spend $20+ Billion dollars per year to place their information on someone else's pages.

That is a fucking clever idea. so you can geo target people using a generic domain.

Seems like the main idea is by province/state? maybe they will go by city or something more indepth in the future.

I got city results, and a full site for a local divorce lawyer. At the top was an Ad to place my own local divorce lawyer site on that domain if I wanted.

Cool! mine came up blank for my province, said I could rent/lease the domain for $139 per month.

Pretty reasonable price really, and the amount of places you could lease to must be HUGE!!!!

I see parking companies losing some decent domains to this service. I'm liking it a lot :thumbsup

Been following their operation for a while, very solid setup. I'm definitely going to park some domains there.
