yep, its a chopped sample and they play the notes so it sounds very familiar but very hard to identify, as i said, its been on tip of tongue for days and I cant find anything searchin either! The end of song has a few more of the notes from the sample.

ArsewithClass 05-04-2010 02:54 PM

Is that not Lenny Kravitz?

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 05-04-2010 03:10 PM

I don't think it's an actual sample of anything. if it was you'd be able to Google it in a heartbeat... :2 cents:

Jon Oso 05-04-2010 03:11 PM

It sounds like the same notes as November Rain by GnR but played at a different rate. That's what kept popping into my head but it's not the same.

dyna mo 05-04-2010 03:11 PM

slash november rain.

Jon Oso 05-04-2010 03:12 PM

Okay now that you mentioned the end of the song it definitely sounds GnR-ish to me. Maybe start there.

*edit*

Dyna mo, beat you to it LOL

bignasty 05-04-2010 04:21 PM

Caligari 05-04-2010 04:23 PM

it does sound familiar but i think its a generic sound not to a famous tune.

candyflip 05-04-2010 04:24 PM

There is a genre of music called hip hop Gary, or rap. What they tend to do is create a beat by sampling (this means recording) other people's drum sounds, or guitar riffs and then carefully editing them all together to make a new song! I know! It sounds like the future, doesn't it!

This is why the guitar music is by Slash (probably), and yet the gentleman speaking words, or "rapping" is - as you spotted - African American.

Don't get confused by black people sampling James Brown, who was also black. This is OK.

Hope that helps!

PS Some white people also rap.

candyflip 05-04-2010 04:31 PM

It's probably like 1 or 2 notes from being obvious.

OM fucking G! You are a repulsive individual, only knowing how to use sarcasm.

There is a guitarist playing in the video of which is black & not slash! Thats why I said the fella is black and not Slash.

Was one of the most intense solos I have ever heard. Amazing to know that his mother was black BTW! :thumbsup Wow, with such a white face & white rock features too. His father must have had strong genes :2 cents:

didn't say I didn't like the guitar. I meant the song itself. Luda's part made the entire track.

heheh yeah he owned it... thats why he got paid to be on it, and thats why all rappers pay good rappers to rap on their tracks.

Lil wayne gets paid 100k just to rap on someones track, and definitely helps sell the album.

If you can't make it 6 seconds into your song without using the words "bitches" or "hoes," you should just stop trying to make music.
