Feedback requested - what would I change on my tour?
I am thinking of a new design for my tour, but I want feedback from other webmasters as to what I should do.
What would you want to see as a webmaster that would promote the site? And yes, I would be looking for a designer that is good, fast and cheap! But first thing is to get imput from others, so please limit the spam to my icq only and have the feedback here. |
I thought it looked pretty good.
I would add another streaming video somewhere with you taking it in the ass to show how naughty you can get and... rework your pricing page at the end. There is better ways to show price descriptions |
hi Dawn. Here's what I'd change:
remove the spaces that make the site look broken (see it in FF) widen the tour to give it a more updated look move the Take My Tour and Join buttons down, so they "close" the page make the sample thumbs and videos non-clickable and bigger remove some of the tour pages by condensing their content into 1 (for instance Friends and Extras can be condensed into 1) I would keep the general color scheme, since the site in general looks good. cheers! |
looks good:)

Yer i agree with moving the tour and join links down to the base of the page
Also the twitter flash plugin/update thing didnt work for me just black screen |
The only thing missing from the tour is me...as stunt cock.

Also, i will consider changing color scheme.. |
Thanks we are thinking of making changes simular to the comments made so far, so glad to have others think the same way. What about the 'persona'? Why change the color scheme? You mention making samples bigger and non-clickable. So no 'extra large' samples and just make the images on the page bigger?

In my experience if you want to start getting more sales do not hire a designer to do a fancy static tour that looks like everybody elses.
Instead do what I did...make it dynamic. When a new update goes up in the members area it is reflected on the tour. Give surfers a reason to come back and put eyes on your site. A "pretty", static tour gives them zero reason to ever come back. Nothing changes. What I'm talking about is a "living" tour that you update just like the members area. CM's site has done that from day one, and I first tested it with a Deluxe Pass site I built and updated by hand that made 3/4 million dollars for me (and since it was 50/50 with Deluxe Pass, that means it grossed 1.5 million) in 2years. So I knew a dynamic tour was key to making sales that run circles around all the other programs that I promote. It will work for you too. :) |
Seems to me you would be better off asking your members what they would like to see on the tour.

Anyways, my point was that glitzy tour designs usually only impress webmasters, not surfers. |
