We are currently looking to hire an in-house web designer to work out of our office in Los Angeles. Here is the job description below...


Front End Web Developer and Graphics Designer job requisition

Details:
Title: Front End Web Developer and Graphic Designer
Status: Full-time, exempt
Pay-range: $40K - $45K Salary, dependent on experience
Supervisor: Marketing Manager (Erin O?Leary)

Are you a creative and versatile web developer and designer looking for the next big challenge?

AMERICAN MOBILE VENTURES focuses on developing and delivering exciting mobile services to consumers and businesses globally.

As AMV further expands its off-deck strategy in North America, we are seeking an addition to our team to support our web development and design needs. As a Front End Web Developer and Graphic Designer, you will play a pivotal role at the company as we expand our mobile services within the North America. Are you a multi-tasker who can quickly build our product portfolio and launch websites and campaign deliverables? Do you have a passion for technology that will drive you to bring our customers the best web and mobile entertainment experience available? We are looking for a bright team member who can hit the ground running to help build our portfolio of web sites, print ads, wap sites and eye-catching banners who thrives in a fast paced, results driven environment.

Responsibilities
? Work with the marketing and product team to conceptualize and design high converting websites and landing pages using XHTML, Table-less HTML, CSS, Java Script and Velocity.
? Produce mock-up designs in Photoshop and turn them into HTML
? Maintain and update 10 ? 20 websites/landing pages as needed to ensure designs are optimized and regulations are up to date.
? Create web and wap banners in Jpeg, Flash, Gif and animated Gif formats within required sizes and weights
? Design graphics and logos for various wap, web and TV commercial projects
? Design and build iPhone optimized websites
? Print ad design and delivery in specified formats for magazines and newspapers
? Cross browser compatibility checking of sites in IE, Firefox and Safari
? Complete projects under deadlines

Job Requirements
? 2 years minimum with front end web development with strong knowledge of XHTML, CSS, Java Script and Velocity and Dreamweaver. Php knowledge a plus.
? 2 years minimum with graphic design using Photoshop
? Experienced front end web developer and designer with portfolio including web, print, banner and graphic design.
? Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously
? Demonstrate innovative thinking and ability to take initiative with strong creative and organizational skills.
? Works well independently and within a team.
? Proficient personal computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, internet savvy
? Plus if you love technology and mobile!

Haha...yes it's very possible to live in LA for $45k.

Plus, the $45k is a pretty generous base pay considering how easy the job is...and we include quarterly bonuses...our last designer was making just over $60k and he was terrible!

Yea, its actually not too bad at all...
The designer would be working as the only male in an office with 3 cute females...which is not bad thing to come to work to every morning!

45k in LA is decent especially if you're single and know where to live (for example NOT hollywood)

but yeah for all that, the money is a little low. i fit the description almost 100% but i'm indie now :winkwink:
