How many year do you register domains for?
When you register a new domain how many years do you tend to select? I usually go for two years just out of habit from when you used to have to do them for that long. You?
just 1 because I manage 1700+ so many will be sold within a year.
In most cases just one year then see if turns into a project or gets sold etc...I also find that what I thought was a good domain a year ago doesnt have the same appeal now and simply let them drop.
Register ours for 10 years.
Mostly one year, then if i build around it, i add few more yrs
depends on what the domain is being used for. some i have for 5 years, other 3, most 1.
Depends on the domain. Just a prospect - 1 year. Something I plan on developing - 5 years.
register it for one year, if it get's big i renew it, if not i let it go
Some i have are undeveloped for 5 years and produced zero income but i still keep them but that's just becouse i like the names |
Depends on the domain and use. If its something I'm planning on working on and continuing longterm, I'll go for 2 - 5yrs.
If its a side project that I'll spend minor time on, then I tend to reg/renew one year at a time. Gives me that nice yearly reminder if I forgot about it :1orglaugh |
1-2 years, depends
One year, it has auto renew so why lay out more then I have to up front!
usually a year
If you have a new site, Google will trust it more if you register it for more than 1 year. Usually signifies to the spider that it's less of a spam/throw away domain.
