Webcam model tries to claim unemployment compensation
 

Has this ever happened to one of you guys?

A webcam model from my company tried to claim unemployment compensation even though she wasn't even terminated nor was she considered an employee. This already happened once in the past. They just dropped it but it is annoying to have to fill out a form.

Wow but the contracts clearly state independent contractor.

The only thing that would be remotely close to it would be disability insurance from her own private insurance company I am with Sunlife insurance.

Why do you have to fill out a form if she isn't an employee?

Apparently they don't do too much fact checking at the unemployment office...which is somewhat scary for our taxes.

Its the same in Canada too you would be suprised what they ask for for you to get weekly checks.
