yup, real - it's called HDR Photography

Love it or hate it, it's cool - but that's an example of extreme HDR...

Photomatix Pro is what I have and it's cool and helps create a "realistic photo" in scenes where high dynamic range means something would be underexposed or overexposed. I never use to those extremes as you showed, and I guess PS could do the same as what I want, but photomatix does it far simpler and quicker (especially tone mapping)

those ones look totally different though - much more computer generated...

I would have given this as example though - far more realistic ;)

Ok I know most of you know but for those whom don't ... not one image posted on this subject is real.
The original picture is by an amazing artist from Europe named Tiberius. This image probably consists of upwards 60+ layers and uses every masking,brush and image adjustment tool as available.

Who is that indian photographer that does the shots that looks like this but have no graphics - his stuff is even better

You can't retouch using HDR - HDR is a process using varying fstops then merging the picture ... the HDR on PS is a joke and is not real.

again none of the pictures are real ... the indian guys stuff is heavily photoshoped.
